ACHOURA:
UN FILM FANTASTIQUE FRANCO-MAROCAIN

Deuxième long-métrage de Talal SELHAMI (MIRAGES), ACHOURA réunit plusieurs productions françaises et marocaines (OVERLOOK FILMS, METALUNA PRODUCTION, SANDMAN PICTURES, LA PROD) autour d'une histoire originale mêlant horreur et conte moderne.

Trois amis d'enfance sont réunis par le destin lorsqu'un de leurs amis, disparu vingt ans auparavant, refait surface. Ils doivent alors confronter leur passé et affronter une créature issue d'une légende marocaine.

En tournage jusqu'au mois de mars, Talal SELHAMI a réunit une équipe franco-marocaine pour donner vie à cette histoire inspirée par le cinéma fantastique espagnol (L'ECHINE DU DIABLE, L'ORPHELINAT). Le casting inclut Sofiia MANOUSHA (LE NOIR TE VA SI BIEN), Younes BOUAB (ZERO), Ivan Gonzalez (THE DIVIDE), Omar LOTFI (DJINNS), Moussa MAASKRI (LA FRENCH) et Mohamed Choubi (TRAITOR).

POURQUOI INDIEGOGO ?

Ambitieux de par sa volonté d'être un film fantastique "à l'ancienne" avec une créature présente sur le plateau (via des animatroniques et un acteur en costume), ACHOURA voudrait bénéficier d'une post-production exemplaire afin de transmettre les ambitions du film à l'écran.

Pour cela, nous avons besoin de 40 000 € pour compléter le budget de la post-production et s'assurer qu'elle bénéficie d'un traitement soigné, que ça soit pour le montage image, l'étalonnage, le mixage et la bande-originale.

Le film comprend aussi des effets numériques pour rendre la créature encore plus impressionnante, et cette campagne nous permettrait de les rendre encore meilleurs.

LES CONTREPARTIES

Nous avons organisé notre campagne comme une plongée dans le tournage et l'univers du film.

Le journal de bord vous permettra de vivre en temps réel le tournage à Casablanca, chose inédite pour un film français de genre. Les vidéos seront mises en ligne régulièrement et aborderont différentes parties de la production. Les contreparties associées au journal de bord tournent autour du film fini, d'un simple téléchargement de la bande-originale jusqu'à l'affiche finale dédicacée.

Les autres contreparties se centrent sur l'univers visuel du film, extrêmement soigné par les différents artistes ayant aidé au look de la créature, des costumes et des décors. Tableaux, planches et dessins vous sont proposés pour prolonger l'expérience sensorielle et découvrir cet univers original sous un autre angle.

La fabrication d'un film est une processus long qui nécessite plusieurs mois de travail et des dates sans cesse renouvelées. La plupart des contreparties ont donc été fixé pour l'année 2016 mais dépendent en réalité de l'avancement de la post-production ainsi que de la date de sortie choisie par le distributeur. Nous essaierons de mettre à jour autant que possible cette page afin que vous livrez vos contreparties dans les meilleurs délais.

Avec cette campagne Indiegogo, nous essayons à la fois de compléter le budget du film pour lui donner la meilleure post-production possible mais aussi d'impliquer les ceux qui veulent découvrir le tournage d'un film réunissant deux pays voisins et de vous présenter une nouvelle créature originale au sein d'un univers fantastique unique en son genre.

Second feature film by Talal SELHAMI (MIRAGES), ASHOURA unites several production companies from France and Morocco (OVERLOOK FILMS, METALUNA PRODUCTION, SANDMAN PICTURES, LA PROD) around a fantasy movie blending mystery and horror.

Talal SELHAMI surrounded himself with a cast and crew from both countries to bring life to a film inspired by the Spanish fantasy new wave (DEVIL'S BACKBONE, THE ORPHANAGE). The cast includes Sofiia MANOUSHA (LE NOIR TE VA SI BIEN), Younes BOUAB (ZERO), Ivan Gonzalez (THE DIVIDE), Omar LOTFI (DJINNS), Moussa MAASKRI (LA FRENCH) and Mohamed Choubi (TRAITOR).

WHY INDIEGOGO ?

ASHOURA is an ambitious project trying to recreate "old school" movie-making by having its creature on the set with animatronics and an actor in a suit. The post-production needed must combine these effets with digital renderings and matte paintings that will enhance the monster and the look of the film.

For that, we need 40 000 € to complete the budget and post-production (including editing, sound mix, digital effects and an original score).

THE REWARDS

We conceived this Indiegogo campaign as a way to live within the universe of the movie and its production.

The video diary (in French with English subtitles) will allow you to follow the shooting of the film in Casablanca, a very rare thing for a French film. Videos will be uploaded twice a week, allowing you to walk on the set of ASHOURA as if you were part of it. Other rewards surrounding this video diary concern the finished film itself, like a simple download of the soundtrack to the final poster signed by the crew.

Other substantial rewards put you trough the visual elements of the film thanks to amazing artists working on the creature, the costumes and the sets. Paintings, concept boards and drawings will allow you to experience the movie and discover its secrets.

The making of a movie is a long process that needs months of hard work and new schedules updated weekly. Most of those rewards were assigned to 2016 but are relying on the post-production and the final release dates picked by the distributor. We will try to update the dates as soon as possible so you can know more about the shipping and status of your rewards.
