Overview
After a successful run this past March at Studio Porte Bleue, Adoration has continued to grow into a wonderful new experience, which we are excited to take to the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival. With all the incredible changes we've made come new obstacles and expenses, and we need your help to make it happen.

About Adoration

Two former violin students reconnect after the suicide of their mentor. Loosely based on The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, Adoration pieces together the non-linear tales and imperfect lives of two generations of musicians: their compromises, their quiet victories, and their take on what it means to be an artist.

We at Tantalus are independent theatre artists devoted to building community through our works, while creating theatre that challenges convention and that stems from the question of what our responsibilities are as human beings.
Through this campaign, we aim to build the funds required to make our remount of Adoration as successful as possible, in hopes of providing work that makes our audiences think critically on subjects such as the importance of the teacher-student relationship, while looking at the silent sacrifices that artists make time and time again.

For a project like this, the support of the community is paramount. Help us tell the story that so many artists can relate to.

What Your Generosity Gets You.

For this remount, we are asking the community for 700$. With this money, we can ensure that Adoration runs smoothly.

This 700$ will go towards audio recording sessions, printing costs, promotional material, and any repairs that may be necessary with our set or props.

Your contributions to our production will not go unrewarded. When it comes to independent theatre, every dollar goes a long way, and we want you to be rewarded for your help. Our perks for this campaign range from social media shoutouts, to personalized videos from our cast and crew, to digital copies of the beautiful music from the show, composed and performed by our very own playwright, Violette Kay. There is even a perk for those of excessive generosity where we dedicate a show to you, or someone of your choosing.

Other Ways You Can Help

We know that not everyone has the money to donate to a campaign like this, but there are so many ways you can help that don't include spending a dime. Just taking the time to spread the word about our show, our company, or even this Indiegogo campaign will go such a long way in ensuring we can make this show a success.

No matter how you decide to contribute, the cast and crew of Adoration want to say a big THANK YOU for all your help.
