Overview
As most teens have noticed, there is a growing number of millennials who are utterly attached to their image, especially online. There seems to be an unspoken rulebook for how one subculture of this group operates. They all talk, act, and look a certain way. They all wear vintage (and sometimes ugly) clothing. They all listen to the same kind of music. They're all on Twitter. "Aesthetic" aims to expose the superficiality and hilarity of this niche group of teens.

Short Overview

Hi! My name is Katrina Peterson, and I'm the Writer & Director of "Aesthetic".  I am 18 years old and will be headed to Kenyon College this August. Grace Zhang (Director of Photography, Pratt Institute '20), Camille Brzechffa (Producer, Occidental College '20), and I are very passionate about film, which we all plan to pursue in college.  We came together this summer to create "Aesthetic" as a way to gain more experience and insight into the filmmaking process.  We are asking for your help to fund what has become a very expensive project for us.  Please scroll down below to see a detailed breakdown of our expenses and to learn more about the film!

What We Need & What You Get

We will need $1,200 USD to completely fund the film.  Here is a breakdown of all the specific costs:

  • Rental costs for equipment (shotgun mic and wind cover, boom pole, XLR cable, zoom mic, and slider)
  • Props, lighting equipment, and wardrobe
  • Festival entrance fees
  • Lunch, water, and snacks for the cast & crew on shoot days

Please check out this list of the wonderful perks you can receive by supporting us!

  • A personal thank you from the director, producer, and cinematographer
  • A high quality digital download of the official poster
  • Your name in the "Special Thanks" credits
  • A printed version of the official poster
  • A digital download of the film
  • Your name as "Executive Producer" in the credits

The Impact

By helping us fund our film, you will be helping three student female filmmakers to realize their dreams and to get a footing in the male-dominated film industry.  Your contribution will help us not only to pay for the daily costs of production, but also to get our film out into festivals for the world to see.

Risks & Challenges

There are no risks to investing in this campaign, as the film is already made!  We just need your help to cover the costs and to get "Aesthetic" into festivals.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are unable to contribute financially to our project, please consider sharing this page via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other social media.  Indiegogo also has its own share tools.  Spreading the word is vital to our success!
