America’s deadliest animal doesn’t have big teeth, sharp claws, or venomous fangs. Surprisingly, deer and large wildlife cause over 10,000 injuries in accidents and about 200 deaths each year (CDC.gov). In many cases 2 seconds can make the difference between life and death, avoiding an accident, and the loss of precious wildlife.

Students at Snowflake Jr High, inspired by the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Challenge, have taken on the challenge to apply their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) to construct a low-cost wildlife detection and alert system.

With your help, we will build 5 prototypes and refine the concept.
