OVERVIEW
If you knew that the gates of hell were going to open up to try and swallow you, what would you do? If America's intelligence community knew about it, what would they do to try and stop it? What lengths would the greatest nation on Earth go to so they can prevent Armageddon? American Monsters is told from the perspective of Dr. Jacob Connors, a geneticist hired by the CIA to aid in creating a response team to ethereal threats. The book is told from his perspective as he chronicles the experiments and developments in America's black ops team known only as Project Lazarus.
Written by author and journalist Micah Curtis (Englewood, Three Knights Four Days), American Monsters is largely inspired by works such as At The Mountains of Madness and The Call of Cthulhu, where a man of reason and intellect must struggle to comprehend another world beneath our own that doesn't play by the same rules.
The 100 page novella serves as a prequel to the upcoming comic book Project Lazarus, and chronologically follows Micah's graphic novel Three Knights, Four Days.
