SERAPH FILMS PRESENTS: AMONG THE SHADOWS
AMONG THE SHADOWS is the working title for our new short film. Without giving too much away, the concept behind the film involves "Shadow People," supernatural creatures that are only barely visible in one's peripheral vision and who feed on our fears. Our film follows one young woman as she tries to face the deep psychological scars of having been followed by shadow people her whole life.
WHO WE ARE
Seraph Films is a collective of independent filmmakers that work together to produce new short films that premiere the last Friday of most months. These non-genre specific films are part of our effort to create unconstrained, compelling, and often challenging films - letting our creative ideas run wild - and then sharing them with you.
Seraph Films was founded by producer / director Gene Blalock to focus on producing quality, character-driven projects for film, television and new media, while providing educational opportunities for all of our members. As a group, we are committed to uncompromising values, longstanding relationships, and an enduring creative spirit.
Beyond our art, we are passionate about our imprint on this planet and work diligently to reduce our consumption and promote responsible production.

OUR WORK
When we began, we decided to try to accomplish a goal of completing one short film each month on a very limited budget. Though we haven't been entirely true to our timetable, we've completed six films and are currently in post production on our latest. All of our completed films were produced for $500 or less.
(Final mini poster and poster image subject to change)
Just so, we'd like to do something REALLY SPECIAL for Halloween, but we won't be able to afford the locations and other additional expenses on a five-hundred dollar budget. So, we've set our sights higher in the hope that our friends and maybe even people we don't know will help us get there. We're hoping for $5,000, which is still pretty low for a "film," but with all of us volunteering and our line producer nagging us constantly, we are sure we can bring it in on budget. Of course, if we get any extra, we'll incorporate that into making this even better, and use it towards film festival fees!
You can see all of our short films here:

All our films are insured and SAG-AFTRA approved.
WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING?
- Location Fees! Who knew that $500 per day was a fantastic bargain?
- Makeup - after all, we're talking HALLOWEEN!
- Effects and CGI - we can do some in-house, but we expect to need a little extra this time.
- Food! Yes, with about 20-30 volunteers involved in each shoot, coordinating food is vital.
- Any extra funds will allow us to take this film to the festival market.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Some people just can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help:
- Ask folks to get the word out and make some noise about this film.
- Use the Indiegogo share tools!
