Welcome! I want to begin by admitting that as we looked for topic headings to tell the story, we were at a loss to find better than the ones indiegogo laid out for us so we're using them with our thanks!

First: The Summary

 Hi! We're MMP Studios. Founded in 1995,  We are a Film and video production company based in Central Florida specializing in Underwater Footage for various projects to aide in the advetrtising of everything from Apple orchards (No Kidding) to Zoos and everything in between.  We also have a love of Cinema. More specifically Vignettes. (Defined as a Mini-Movie with three separate acts) We have a talent base of over 600 of the most beautiful ladies you could ever want to see and that number grows annually.
We constantly "give back" to our community in various ways  such as charity donations, sponsorships, and various other programs. We hire local talent first and encourage referral of all new or prospective employees by existing ones to further aid in the support of out talent base.

We are beginning this campaign because there is so much we want to do and so much more we could offer if we overcome a few monetary hurdles. Yes, we know in the big scheme of things the dollar amounts we need are not significant when compared to a lot of other film budgets. However, what we do and what we film carries a hefty pricetag when you consider what is involved.

For many years now we have been recycling most (90+%) of what that program generates right back in it. Revenues were hindered somewhat last year, largely due to an influx of free-sharing of our products. So, after our  annual production budget took a significant hit, we decided to at least try to make up what we lost. We had several new projects planned for 2015 that were going to be lost before ever making past the drawing board. Rather than letting those who struck out against us win, we're trying to get a little help in bringing the new material to the masses.

So what is the "Programming" or "Content"?  You may be asking yourself. It is Vintage Scuba Based material in the classic format of the Sea Hunt Television series . It is Mermaid fantasy material. it is good old fashioned Horror material and   several multi-episodic features combined with two Full length projects that we want to take off the development room shelves and make a reality. It is also the means to fund at least two episodes of our webisode series "FLORIDA'S WILD WATERS".  Not only for the people who will play the characters, but for the efforts of the writers and production staff who worked tirelessly to develop them..

"Why is it so costly that a company needs to seek outside funding assistance to achieve the goal?" Simple. We have numerous employees that we don't want to have to let go in order to expand the catalog. Under a normal business plan, that's precisely what would happen. People would be let go or laid off  and only a few would get the work.

Well as those who know us can attest, we are anything but a normal company. We believe in expanding our talent base when others would be cutting back. Why? Because our talent base is largely made up of Single Mothers and College Co-Eds who are continuously struggeling to make ends meet. they need the work and we will do what we can to give it to them. We want to be able to say to all  that this didn't kill us or the dreams of those who create for us. To show them once and for all that they didn't have the affect they wanted. We're here. We're fighting back, and we hope to gain outside support to make this happen!

 

Second: What We Need & What You Get

What We Need:

  • EQUIPMENT. In many mainstream production models, equipment can simply be rented. We would like to be that fortunate but we have found that much of what we need with regard to vintage and "period" scuba materials can't or won't. It is a case of buy or not for much of it.  Much of the gear and equipment we need is vintage and carries a hefty price tag to acquire.

 

  • LOCATION ACCESS: Many of the locations we use require fees, permits, and other expenses just to get in to film. These are among the first things to be cut  and subsequently the first things to be replaced with funding.

 

  • IMAGE QUALITY UPGRADING: We have a higher end pro model camera that we are wanting to take off the shelf and use for this material to bring you the most current offerings in the highest quality imagery possible.  Accordingly we need an underwater housing for the camera and that also carries a hefty price tag . We feel it is worth it when you consider the Audio and Visual improvements such an upgrade will yield. This item can be used for a variety of materials and will have broad range benefits.

 

  • VESSEL RENTAL & ACQUISITION: many of the locations needed to bring this content can not be reached by land. Most can't reasonably be reached by swimming either when you consider the personnel and equipment needed to make these projects a reality. Renting or even leasing a vessel is a necessity. We need function over flash. We need to be able to move cast, crew, and compliments in and out of tricky locations against often adverse circumstances.

 

WHAT YOU  GET:

We all know you don't get something for nothing. Since we began this program we have strived to to be on the cutting edge with regard to value-added items for our customers. We know how special our contributors are and we are keeping our numbers very low (73 campaign sponsors total )so we can treat those of you who are supporting in the manner in which you deserve to be treated. We have developed SIX levels of sponsorship, each with its own perks and advantages. Each level boasts a value of our products above the donation amount in addition to any other perks at that level.

 

Third: The Impact Your Support Will Have

This part was among the simplest to explain. Without your support, these items will remain off the budget and ultimately those stories, films and vignettes will never see the light of day. We have proven that we will deliver time and time again in excess of what the fans have asked us to. This is a real program with real consequences if it doesn't move forward. It's impact will be felt by many. real people wanting to see this material, willing to work to make it a reality.

Fourth: The Risks

There are not many risks associated with this other than the obvious ones in getting equipment tested and talent trained. Our experience has left us with the ability to make this a reality for the participants and supporters alike. The question; "WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T FULFILL THE CAMPAIGN GOALS?" has been asked several times. The answer is this, we will honor the commitments of the supporters in full and produce what we can with the funds the supporters provide. The supporters are taking a leap of faith in providing the finds and we will of course reward them in kind.
