About Another Shot
The story is of Jessie, a twenty something who likes to keep people at a distance. Although with sarcastic charm to spare, the constant guardedness takes its toll on her boyfriend, Max, and the couple split up. Though she can hide it well, the mysterious bartender, can tell Jessie regrets this and gives her another chance in the form of a shot. Now every time Jessie takes a shot she relives the same moment again and again; desperately trying to patch things up with her soon to be ex, she'll have to remember, it's still alcohol.
Why this Film?
Everyone working on this project is, or at one point was, a student at EICAR, The International Film and Television School of Paris. Most all of the students come from a diverse and international backgrounds and have worked incredibly hard for three years; finally in the finishing stretch of the program, needing to finish the thesis film to graduate. Our school provides us with equipment, but the rest of the funding comes from ourself and anyway we can find it. These costs include (but not limited to) renting the location, production design, transportation, catering, special equipment and even post production.
Another Shot has a solid and concise script, excellent crew and a real vision that we want to bring to you; what we really need now is your help to fund the project to make it the best version it can be. Any little bit helps us get closer to our goal. Help us make this film something to be proud of.
Breakdown

Location Most of the film takes place in a bar; to save on production design we will be shooting in a functioning bar during the closed hours. Finding a bar is expensive. Renting a bar for three days is expensive. And I'm sure a third thing relating to the bar will also be expensive. With our best efforts we'll be able secure a great location adding another level to the project.
Production Design Although the ideal location would come ready, production design will still need to be taken care of. Costumes, props, and set design all will need to be rented and transported to the location. The more well furnished the art design the more believable the film will be.
Transportation As mentioned above, we'll be needing to transport everything to the location. We do have a resident driver with multiple vans who'll be helping us, but it's not a free job. Gas and time are real factors.
Catering All of the crew and cast are working for free, the least we can do is give them a good meal. They're giving up their time and putting in tremendous efforts to make this film come to life, and they work much better on full stomachs.
Equipment Our school provides most of the equipment that we will need for the shoot, but somethings will still need to be rented.
Post-Production Even after principal photography is complete the spending keeps going. From the first assembly to the final sound mix, there are a lot of steps that go into the post production process. Color grading and composing the score aren't cheap after all.
Who Are We?
If you're asking yourself existential questions on humanity itself, I can't help you there, but if you're asking who "we" are as the team. I can shed some light there. We are international students at EICAR, The International Film and Television School of Paris (trust me, the abbreviation makes sense in French).
I've selected the best of the best this year, with heads of department that never cease to amaze me with their work mentality, execution and persistence to make every project they do better than the last. With our collective skills that we've honed over the last three years, we will work our hardest and make the the best film we can. Here, take a look:
Director Tobias Musante (Final Year-Bachelors)
First AD Mona Rathsman (Final Year-Bachelors)
Production Manager Angelina Komarova (Final Year-Bachelors)
Director of Photography Silene Madonna (Final Year-Bachelors)
Production Designer Isabeau Van Der Vlies (First Year-Masters)
Editor Doran Wong (Final Year-Bachelors/Canadian)
And if having a Canadian as our Editor doesn't convince you to contribute, I seriously don't know what will.
Other Ways You Can Help
Any contribution is a big step in the right direction for us. We understand that some people can't contribute themself, but if you still want to help you would really be doing us a solid be sharing the project around to your friends, family, people on facebook who you really want to annoy (seriously try it). Help us spread the word by visiting and sharing our Facebook page. With your support, this is becoming more and more possible.
Another Shot is coming this December; I hope it's something to be proud of.
