I'm Ryan Dawson. I have been making independent media for 13 years. I've written books, made films, and appeared on TV, radio, and podcast to explain political and economic subjects.

I've have noticed in alternative media a strong lean towards sensationalism and fear-mongering. News should be the facts, but the reality is news has become a product and so over time it slides towards entertainment and wedge issues.

I have always stuck to calm factual reporting to the best of my abilities and I am often debunking much of the nonsense peddled all over the web by charlatans. I have been told so many times how much people appreciate my research and the content of my videos and full length films. The problem is the production value has never met the level of the content. However it has improved dramatically over the last 6 months.

In the last half a year, I put out a new film and wrote an ebook. I also created a new news site http://ANCreport.com with a podcast program where I interview experts from all over the world. This has been a success. But we could do a lot more. The videos could be more professional. The podcast and articles could be a lot more frequent. But it is hard to juggle my time between this work and nonpolitical work which must be done for financial reasons. Conservatively I need to raise at least 9 thousand dollars. This covers equipment cost, web design, and many many hours of research and interviews and editing etc. Specifically I need editing software, an external hard drive because mine is nearly full, money for a graphic designer and web designer, translators, a portable mic, capital for cafepress gear, lighting, and a team to edit movies. For example, we are going to try to make War by Deception theater worthy. We are doing this all on a very cost efficient way.

The Impact

If you are sick as I am of getting fed war propaganda and interventionism from corporate media, and incredible doomsday scenarios from alternative media, then you must also crave some honest analytical reporting. No subject is taboo to me. I will talk about Zionism, the CIA and its relations to rent-a-terrorists, oligarchs, 911, lies in history... I don't pull punches for the sake of sponsorship. We could really challenge the establishment and reverse the course of plutocracy and lies.

War by Deception forever changed the narrative on 911. There is no going back from that film and it has never been challenged or debunked. What holds it back is distribution and production value. We can change that quickly with some start up funding. And there could be a lot more films on a lot more topics.
