We're back!
We launched our first campaign back in June and thanks to all of our supporters we've been able to put together an amazing cast and crew. We booked the amazing UK actor, Nadia Parkes, (DOCTOR WHO & the new BBC series KIDNAPPED) to play our lead. We locked the underwater DOP Kjetil Astrup (NO TIME TO DIE) to shoot our underwater sequences, and most recently, we booked award-winning DOP Fredrik Bäckar (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO) to bring his poetic sensibility to the story.
A sincere thank you to all of you who supported our first campaign and made this possible. We're now prepping to shoot in October.
Recap
As most of you know from the first campaign, ANTIQUE is an impactful story about the all-too-common problem of drug facilitated sexual assault (DFSA). I feel strongly about the current framing of sexual assault in the media as all too often sexual assault is directed and produced by people who have never experienced it. With ANTIQUE, we will portray DFSA through the eyes of the survivor and explore the psychological trauma it causes without making the audience sit through graphic assault scenes.

Logline and Script
When a Stockholm native returns home for a business conference she agrees to meet an old classmate for a drink - a decision she'll regret when he takes advantage of her kind and trusting nature for his own nefarious means.
The script is currently eighteen pages and picked up a semifinalist award in the Outstanding Screenplays Shorts Competition.
From the director
I'm Alex Redwood, writer, director, and producer of ANTIQUE. Through this short film I aim to bring awareness to the problem of DFSA. I hope that those who connect with our lead character, and her experience, will seek help if they've been a quiet victim.
ANTIQUE portrays DFSA in a realistic way. I believe we do ourselves a disservice if we are always portraying people with nefarious intentions as socially inept, or outwardly unattractive. Just because someone's motives are unattractive does not mean they are. Ted Bundy was a good-looking, well-educated, and affable man. So was my aggressor.
I think many women will relate to this story because it has so many of the telltale elements of what usually happens: it’s a person you know, it's someone who made you feel safe, your memories feel fractured, and you question yourself, and if it even ever happened.
The goal from a visual perspective is to create a realistic and dynamic visual language and style.
