Highboy and Company's next project will explore the beautiful state of Montana in the spring and summer months. Cory Birkenbuel and Kevin Hilton will be traveling around the state to document the lost art of hitchhiking. The film will be called "Anywhere in Montana" with the goal of digging deep into the fear and adventure of hitchhiking. Veteran hitchhikers will be interviewed to find out how it was back in the day. Cory and Kevin will set out to pick up hitchhikers for the experience and a chance to find out why people hitch. They will be dropped off in the middle of nowhere, and they will start their adventure of perhaps being judged or stranded on the side of the road waiting for a ride to the next destination. The money raised from this Indiegogo will go towards camera and audio gear to help improve the over-all quality of the film.
Our greatest challenge will be handling the technical aspects of film making without electricity for an undetermined amount of time while we are hitchhiking. We will need to purchase multiple memory cards and batteries to hold us over until we are able to get somewhere where we can charge batteries and transfer footage. We will face all kinds of weather, seeing that we are filming in Montana, and hope to purchase protective rain gear for cameras and all other equipment.
