ReadyBe™ - the world’s 1st mobile Interface to facilitate accessible and inclusive healthcare.
Apps Need to Be Available to Everyone!
Like me, there are over 1 BILLION PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES around the world. In fact, we are the world’s largest minority demographic. This includes 43 MILLION PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND.
People with disabilities struggle to access mainstream healthcare. The ReadyBe app is set to change that with the creation of its unique ACCOMMODATION PROFILING SYSTEM. NOTE: WE ARE RAISING $10K NOT $200k.

Why does the app need to have Voice Activation?
1. It enables millions of people to benefit from use of the app who cannot use point and click systems.
2. It empowers millions of people who require support to access mainstream healthcare via the ReadyBe app to use it without assistance and on an independent basis.
How Can ReadyBe™ Help?
Our Solution: An application to solve this problem - People with disabilities live in a world not designed for them. ReadyBe™ is designed for people with disabilities and their practitioners (see the section below on how it works). Both will benefit by having the information needed for an accessible visit arranged ahead of time through the app.
A healthcare provider can be anyone the user seeks to book a visit or treatment with such as:
- Doctor
- Physiotherapist
- Chiropractor
- Homeopath
- Naturopath
- Acupuncturist
- Massage Therapist
- Chiropodist
- Surgeon

Actor, Daniel Radcliffe IS a famous individual with the condition known as DYSPRAXIA. Dyspraxia is a brain-based motor disorder. It affects fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, and coordination. Although it can affect cognitive skills, it’s not related to intelligence. People with this condition would also find it easier to use an app with a voice activation system.
HOW DOES ReadyBe™WORK?
The app works on a 4-step process which is easy, quick, and protected by end to end encryption. Here are the steps:
1. Introduce yourself. You provide your name and email and then the nature of your disability (in your own words, and only as much as you want to say).
2. Describe your accommodation needs. You describe/explain the accommodations you need to make your visit or treatment accessible, and inclusive. The purpose is to work with the practitioner to ensure these accommodations are set up ahead of the visit.
3. Write a short note. Once you've described what you need then you have a chance to write a short, personal note to the healthcare providers. This is whatever you feel the need to say - maybe there is something new in your care, or in your life that would be important to share. If not, you can leave it blank.
4. Review everything! The review screen will show you everything you've shared with the practitioner, and now you can either EMAIL OR TEXT the message. Once you do, the information is gone because we don't keep your messages. These are private and confidential.
5. IN THE NEAR FUTURE. We hope to have a space on our website where you can store this profile you've created so you don't have to keep repeating it all the time.
The key to the app's uniqueness is the accommodation profile!
What do we mean by ACCOMMODATION PROFILE? Basically, this is a description of the user's disability in combination with their accommodation needs in any healthcare setting. In other words, the individual creates a profile of themselves so that any healthcare provider will understand - THIS IS WHAT THIS PERSON NEEDS FOR AN ACCESSIBLE, INCLUSIVE, AND HOSPITABLE VISIT OR TREATMENT. IT ALSO DECREASES STRESS BETWEEN THE INDIVIDUAL AND THEIR PRACTITIONERS WHO ARE PREPARED FOR THE APPOINTMENT.

A Free Way to Help ReadyBe™
One of the best ways to help is to try out the app for yourself.
If you use an Android: ReadyBe - Apps on Google Play
If you use an iPhone: ReadyBe on the App Store
Instructions:
1. Go to the right link for your phone
2. Install
3. Open the app and go through the menu. For the test, you can just make up a disability and accommodation strategy. Then, make sure you go all the way to the end where it says EMAIL or TEXT. You can simply email or text yourself or a friend.
4. Once you've done that, a quick survey will pop up. Your feedback is enormously helpful!
It takes less than 10 minutes.
The app is currently in beta testing in North America. The approval rate is 93%.
The plan is to expand beta testing to a more global audience (European Union, South America, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand) later this year. Our goal is to have at least 1,000 people around the world test the app on their phones via Android or iPhone.
MY STORY
![]()
I am Ilanna Sharon Mandel, and like me, there are over 1 billion people in the world with some form of a disability. Far too many of us struggle to access mainstream healthcare services.
I am a long-time advocate for human rights, and disability rights in particular. As an author, I published the book Effective Empowerment: Strategies for Accessible Education. As a woman with a disability, I too have struggled to access mainstream healthcare. My spinal problems cause me chronic pain which I cope with each day. There are millions of people around the world such as myself who cope with chronic pain and an invisible disability. This is the main reason I designed the ReadyBe™ app. I want to empower people with disabilities to use a healthcare system that is accessible, inclusive, and hospitable for EVERYONE!
My years as a disability rights advocate have been the most rewarding of my life – connecting with my fellow advocates from countries around the world – speaking at workshops and conferences in Canada, Australia, and the United States.
Why is this important?
I believe we can all make a positive impact in this world.
I am passionate about healthcare as a human right for everyone.
For far too long, people with disabilities such as myself have been left out of our own healthcare management process – oftentimes, the management of my own healthcare has been taken out of my hands.
ReadyBe™ empowers people with disabilities to take control of their own healthcare management and process.

The Impact
The reimagining of global healthcare is an enormous task. It is in the hands of people such as yourselves willing to work with us so that the app can enter the market and be deployed in countries around the world! This will empower us to work with practitioners world-wide to facilitate inclusive, accessible, and hospitable healthcare.
Equitable healthcare is a human right, but people with disabilities are frequently left out of the discussion - it's time to change this. People with disabilities are from ALL CULTURES, ALL RACES, ALL GENDERS, AND ALL SPIRITUAL BELIEFS. WE ARE THE WORLD'S LARGEST MINORITY.
THE FUNDRAISING
We are raising funds to make the app accessible to people who are blind, have low vision, or motor challenges and need to use a VOICE ACTIVATION SYSTEM.
HOW MUCH WE NEED
At this time, we're raising $10K which is needed for further design of the app to include a fully functional VOICE ACTIVATION SYSTEM.
Other Ways You Can Help
There are other ways to help us bring ReadyBe™ to the world:
What Practitioners Have Said:
“The ReadyBe™ App has the potential to help guide people with disabilities to confidently access the health care system and interact with health care providers.” —Dr. Jerry Teitil, Hematologist St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto
“The ReadyBe™ App is exactly what is missing in healthcare! An interactive experience that allows patients to feel understood; and a continuing education experience for practitioners in all fields of healthcare. This app is a unique way to change the healthcare narrative and allow both the practitioner and the patient to feel at ease” —Dr. Shana Sullivan, Chiropractor Owner of Beaches Health Group, Toronto
