Hello Everyone,
Bridget and I have been working non-stop in order to complete
the gallery exhibition we have planned. The shooting has been wonderfully
fantastic. Each time we go into the studio we walk out with stunning works. We
are incredibly exited to give you the first look at what our series will look
like. We realize it might have been a hard sell without anything to show so
here they are. We have selected a few images to share that will give the best
sense of the direction we are headed. The show will have a number of poster-sized
prints adorning the walls of Room 202, the gallery space provided by the University
of Central Florida.
We are going to make this; but only just. We currently have raised
enough to cover the printing expenses and we are running out of time. We know
that many of our friends are poor artists like the two of us so we only ask you
to share our campaign. Please if you could either pass on a few dollars, for
which you will receive a beautiful print from our series, or share this with
someone who can. Bridget and I are relying on our fans. We need your help.
We only have a few days left. Don’t delay!
Thank you for the love of art,
And thank you to our fans.

-John Paul Barratt

Hello Everyone,Is your Amazon Prime queue filled with the Walking Dead, Mad Max, 28 Days Later, 12 Monkeys, all four Terminators, and a backlist of similar sci-fi and thriller B-movies? Do you read every new dystopian young adult novel that hits the shelves? Do you have a zombie survival plan? Does it involve fashionable yet protective, multi-functional clothing?
Perfect! We have the crowdfunded campaign for you! This spring Bridget Hall, winner of the 2014 Departures Jurors’ Choice Award, and John Paul Barratt, a graduating UCF senior with over ten years of photography experience, are collaborating to create a gallery exhibition series portraying images of this caliber. The series will exhibit 10 or more large photographic prints that mix vintage fashion and pop art with a post-apocalyptic theme. Think Richard Avedon meets Mad Max. We will capture the attitude and attire of a culture on the fringe after a global catastrophic event.
The images in this campaign are examples of our past work. To see a few examples of our work please look under the gallery tab. You can expect the images in this show to supersede the quality of our prior work. This is a culmination of our skills and talent to create our best work ever.
We have a beautiful space made available through UCF and we want to display artwork that is created by the help of others in our community. Together we will create a series of fine art images to be hung in Gallery 202. To photograph, print, hang and open a gallery we need money for things like
-Printing pager
-Frame and mount supplies
-Models
-Makeup
-Costumes
-Props
-Promotional Materials
-Catering for the opening
In order for us to accomplish our goals we need help from everyone. Remember, your donations are supporting two local artists who are creative, ambitious college students building their portfolios and credentials. We are offering a list of perks for the people who contribute. (If you don’t want any of our perks we will still gladly take your money.) If you don’t have any money you can still help! Share this with your friends, family, coworkers, the mailman, or anyone that will listen. The more people that know about us, the more likely we will be able to reach our goal in time. It is super easy to share; there are several buttons that let you automatically share our page to your Facebook and Twitter. You can share multiple times! Don’t be shy, press that share button.
