Short Summary

• My name is Paola Botero, I'm from Colombia living in North America. I started writing since I was a teenager and I always wanted to be part of the Film industry- be a story teller. 

• The elements we use to tell this story are very visual, artistic and easy to perceive by the audience, they are very dynamic and also communicates fundamental knowledge, ideas and experiences. 

• The story is captivated in 1969 because in the 60's there were constant social changes, affecting conclusively all social, political and economic structures. 

• Our film "ARTHUR" When we talk about philosophy, for many it's like going in a circle without a purpose, but when we combine it with certain elements from metaphysics, it leads us to analyze and understand thoroughly the human being and it's behavior. Arthur, an 8-year-old boy, speaks about the will in the individual; this Will as Schopenhauer defines it, is as a blind impulse that most of the time takes us down the wrong path even if our instinct tells us otherwise.

• This theme is induced as the power of the will in the being, we see it reflected in Vera, a lost woman, lonely and aimless but with a talent that she is afraid to admit; without genuine escape, she loses herself in her own thoughts and it is there where she finds this child, one that we all have inside, speaking the truth to us and igniting away our fears. 

• I brought these characters together because I wanted to find a balance, since the key to every potential is the continuous discovery of equilibrium.

• Arthur played by Aiden Longworth, Antonio (Vera's boyfriend) played by Louis Ferreira and Vera played by Paola Botero.

• We are looking for funds for the post production: Editing, color correction, visual effects, sound, music, marketing and festivals. Anything at all that you can do to support the project will mean a lot!!

What We Need & What You Get

• I need $10,000 to complete this film. So far we have spend $11,000. 

• Anyone who contributes $1,000 will be given 'Associate Producer' closing credits.  Anyone who contributes $2,500 will receive closing credits as an 'Executive Producer'. Anyone who donates over $5,000, will receive opening credits as an 'Executive Producer'.

The Impact

• This film is very unique, it has made in a very artsy way, combining philosophy and poetry at the same time. A philosophical tone that coexist with the reality of the being and a poetic tone derived from existentialism. 

• Many spectators will identify with the story, independent of its cultural, social, and political formation. 

• This film is valuable to any one who chooses to contribute, because it is being made in an unusual and talented way.

• I've been working for the last couple years in the Film Industry in the art department, also I have attendant to many Film Festivals in the world as a Producer- looking for funds to make movies. 

• I have raised $11,000 for Arthur,  and really hoping I can meet the goal here to finish this project by March to start submitting into festivals. 

• I can't wait to share this film with the world and give some people the courage and inspiration to do better with themselves.
