New Goal!!
Thanks to all of our generous supporters we have already passed our goal of $500! We have done some thinking and are pushing our goal up to $1000 and the new money will go to special effects and sound design giving us more production value than we ever dreamed!! Ascendants - The Movie
Ascendants is the story of a comatose young man who wakes to an abandoned world where no one survives past the age of thirty thanks to a man made virus. We follow David as he struggles to to regain his identity and stay alive in this unforgiving world.
- This will be the first short movie that we will have made at I AM New Productions and we are so excited to show the world what we are capable of.

- We are young and ambitious students at Eastern New Mexico University and aspiring film makers. Through this film we hope to show that we are both creative and serious about film and telling stories that will impact people.
- Not only is this film for YouTube, but we hope to show it off at film festivals around the country and possibly around the world as well!
We know that after seeing this film you will be entertained and impressed by the product we put on screen.
What We Need & What You Get
Here's the deal:
- We need $400 for transportation, costumes/props, and food for when we travel. Any thing extra will go to the already large library of plugins we have for special effects. The extra $100 is going to the perks we have set up!
- For you we have great incentives from t-shirts to signed scripts as well as actual props from the film!
- If we don't reach our goal in it's entirety nothing changes. All the money we have collected will still go to the film and we will continue with everything as if we had collected the amount needed and everything else will come out of pocket from I AM New Productions!
The Impact
As students this film is an opportunity to learn and grow as we strive for excellence in entertaining audiences.
- This project is for the entertainment of everyone that watches and we hope that it will bring the nostalgia of going to the movies for a big blockbuster, to a smaller setting in the form of a short film.
Risks & Challenges

We plan to travel 75 miles to a location we have scouted in Fort Sumner, New Mexico and will be taking a crew of 14 people along with 8 actors.

This may seem simple but we can only take 3 cars and we need to fit all of our equipment in along with us. We have a cargo van that can hold 8 and then we have room for equipment and the other passengers can ride in the other vehicles we have going with us. Besides traveling we have no other foreseeable obstacles in our way!
