What happens when you're in quarantine? You watch a LOT of movies! That's when Chris Laney (PRETTY MAIDS) realized how many fantastic soundtracks there are out there. After an online chat with Allan Sørensen (PRETTY MAIDS, ROYAL HUNT) and Morten Sandager (PRETTY MAIDS, MERCENARY), they decided to contact some friends asking them to join in for some quarantine fun. When Björn “Speed” Strid (SOILWORK, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA), Pontus Norgren (HAMMERFALL), Pontus Egberg (KING DIAMOND) and Linnéa Vikström Egg (KAMELOT, THERION) joined, “At The Movies” was born.

The group set out to record and release videos of ten movie soundtracks from the 80’s over the course of ten weeks. The songs were recorded in everyone’s home studio, production and mixing was done by Chris Laney while Allan Sørensen and Pontus Egberg shared video editing duties.

On the song “We Don’t Need Another Hero” the group was also joined by heavy weights like Ronnie Atkins (PRETTY MAIDS), Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS) and Jacob Hansen (star producer of VOLBEAT/AMARANTHE/PRETTY MAIDS) as guest stars.

The anthem “No Easy Way Out” from Rocky IV was the first one out and is already praised by its original singer Robert Tepper. The ten songs featured are:
