What's in the Documentary

Aviatrix will feature rare 1935 newsreel footage of Katherine at an air race in Long Beach, California, along with her family photos, videos, audio recordings, animated sequences, dramatizations and interviews with aviation experts, historians, family members and friends.

The creators of East West Players Theatre for Youth production "Taking Flight" will talk about how Katherine's life story inspired their play.

We also include rare family video of Katherine's 1989 trip to her hometown in China where she was honored with awards.

Additionally, actress Karen Huie and director Barbara Beck who collaborated on the 1980 USC short film "In the Clouds" will speak about how their project was inspired by Katherine's story, along with sharing film clips and behind-the-scenes photos from the set.
