Hi! Im Chelsea Burbank. A Local Female NWA Filmmaker. Located in Bentonville, AR.
Home of the Bentonville Film Festival.
All my life I've loved the concept of story, based around my love for people and hearing theirs everywhere I go. Recently through film school, I had the healing opportunity to write a short film screen play, inspired by my own. Called Avidity (keen interest and enthusiasm) which I am excited to now direct in April 2021 produced by my company Hammer Key Productions!
Meet Regina Cassady. A single mother photographer with no college education, raising her autistic son Evan, alone in small town rural Arkansas. At the brink of high school graduation, Evan is at risk for the chance to graduate on time to redeem his full ride to college at Cambridge University for robotics, offering them a better life. She must fight for Evan once again, for him to finally fly on his own.
As a single mother to two boys, over the last several years I have made many friends that are single parents or are parents raising children with disabilities, foster children, or all of the above. I believe stories of these families from this perspective are not being told. Together, we can tell these stories by using the moving medium of cinema.
