A little bit about us.
We are Brailling ©, the first mobile messaging application for visually impaired people developed in Argentina.
We want to improve the life of those who can’t take advantage of today's technologies and include them.
Mechanical and technical demonstrations.
If you don’t know about Braille, think of six circles distributed in two columns –each one has three circles. We can do 64 different combinations in this board, and each combination is a different letter or special character.
How does it work? It's easy. On the main screen, when texting users, the Braille board shows six empty circles. The user can feel the screen -looking for the exact location of those circles- and the mobile will vibrate smoothly, showing where the circles are. When the user touches one of the circles, the mobile will vibrate more loudly.
At first, we have six different positions: a1 - b1; a2 - b2; a3 – b3. Each combination represents a letter or a special character that the users can form just by touching a given one.
Making the dream come true.
The person must use one of the respective commands to write a letter and enter a space, so as to write messages of certain length and send them to the receiver by touching the screen three times.

ABOUT THE HARDWARE
Q: Do I need a special mobile or external hardware to use Brailling?
A: No! We're improving Brailling every day so that everyone can use it easily in every mobile. You can download the demo app for Android.
Q: Does it drain all the battery?
A: No. The mobile is going to vibrate in different modes, and make a sound in some cases, for a better experience. You can disable these options or watch the Tutorial again if you have any doubts. These actions are not going to consume a lot of battery.
ABOUT THE SOFTWARE
Q: In how many languages is Brailling going to be?
A: At first, in English. We're from Argentina and we want to reach more countries in the future, so everyone can share this great experience. You can write in any language though* because Braille is a traditional system which lets you write in any language indeed.
*We only allow 64 combinations of letters and special characters at the moment. With your help, we're going to improve this, expand and have the app in more languages.
Q: Does Brailling have a native screen reader?
A: No. You're going to use your regular screen reader, so you're familiar with it. You're going to write in Braille in silence and, when you have to read a message, you can use headphones to listen to it.
Q: How many opportunities and features does Brailling have for visually impaired people?
A: A lot! We're going to give you privacy when you write, not allowing others to watch your screen. You can write faster than before, in Braille. Once you're familiar with this system, you must only learn how to use our commands (you can learn pretty quickly) and you will be able to speak with anyone around the world! You can look up contacts, read old messages, write new messages and it's easy for visually impaired people.
Q: How does the Braille keyboard function?
A: It's easy. When someone writes in Braille, this is going to be automatically translated with the correspondent letter for the receiver, so that he or she can read or hear the message and respond. To write a message, you must touch the screen, without lifting the finger, and feel the vibrations. You're going to recognize the different positions from the Braille keyboard. With a few commands of Brailling, you can send the message, delete words, delete letters, write, read, look for contacts and more!
Q: How can the people who see write with Brailling?
A: The app is going to have two different interfaces: one for blinds and, the other one, for those who can see. The blinds are going to have all the advantages and anyone can use it really. If you want to change the interface, you can do it from the setup options section.
