AN AMAZING PROJECT!
Set in Chicago, B Love is an experimental romantic short film! It features a unique marriage of storytelling and vibrant cinematography. The story explores a love triangle between Bernard, played by Eamonn Walker (Chicago Fire, Cadillac Records, HBO's OZ), Victoria, played by Brely Evans (Being Mary Jane, Sparkle, Just Wright) and Julius, played by Corey Hendrix (Empire, Chicago PD and Sirens) who all deliver stellar performances! ![]()
WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT B LOVE?
Confident, beautiful, unapologetically voluptuous women are a reality in our world, yet we do not see them reflected on film as central characters who are sought after. B Love changes that!
In the age of online dating we've lost the beauty and the simplicity of getting to know someone face to face. As Bernard and Julius vie for Victoria's affection we experience courtship, a lost art in American society.
ABOUT US
My name is Shahari Moore and I am an emerging writer/director. I am also the Historian Emeritus for the Cosby Screenwriting Program at USC. My producing partner is Christine List, Director of the CMAT program at Chicago State University. We came together in 2011 and co-produced a short film Swimmin' Lesson, which won for Best Short at the Black Harvest International Film Festival in Chicago and screened in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes International Film Festival. Our desire is that each project will go even further than the last. With your help we'll soar with B Love!
WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET
-
Honestly the project needs $20,000. However, our goal is $7,500 because we want to remain conservative and realistic with our requests. We have great respect for our audience and donations of any about are greatly appreciated. The funds will be used to cover outstanding bills that are related to production. B Love incorporates live action and animation and was shot using a steady cam ($$$). We are currently in the midst of post production and we need to finalize many pieces of our puzzle. We will need to cover all costs related to marketing and public relations. We will need to cover the cost of festival entry fees and travel to festivals both in and outside of the United States.
- You can purchase a ticket to the sneak peek release reception for $30.00 or I'll work with you to coordinate a private screening for your family, friends and colleagues in the comfort of your home for $250.00. To me, fundraising is both communal and collaborative. If you have additional fundraising ideas or unique perks that you'd like to see please email me at shaharimoore@aol.com.
