Update
After finding out news that Evelyn was facing much more challenges than we first thought.. We held out hope.. But she was not able to overcome everything and passed away January 27th 2013. We believe that she is in the comforting arms of God. Although she was here for 19 days she forever changed the hearts of so many.
This campaign has turned into help for funeral expenses. We Thank you for supporting and praying for sweet Evelyn.
Who is Baby Evelyn?
Baby Evelyn is my cousin, she was born weighing 5lbs., 7 oz., and 17inches on Tuesday, January 8th. Evelyn was scheduled to have heart surgery on January 14th because she was born with atrioventricular canal defect. Her surgery had to be postponed, so the doctors can review all her tests and have a better understanding of what can be done to help her. As of today January 17th the family was informed that she would need an additional surgery on her pulmonary arteries to remove tissue that is blocking it. Evelyn's family is being incredibly strong with the Hope that Evelyn will receive her surgery and be able to come home soon.
What We Need
I am starting this campaign to help give her family some relief. Though I feel helpless in this situation, I want to raise enough money to ease some of the financial stress regarding transportation to hospital, unexpected bills, and wages loss from missing work.
I have set a goal of $2,000. I have never been in this situation, but I know the last thing I would want to spend my time thinking about is money when my baby is sick. We will do our best to keep you updated on her progress and when she has surgery.
