Short Summary

Aloha kākou! My name is Ha'aheo Auwae-Dekker and I am a senior at Seattle University studying film. I have loved doing film since I was in high school and I am so excited to be bringing this work of mine to fruition as I finish my time at Seattle U. Written and directed by myself, this is my first narrative film which is a lofty thing to achieve but I am passionate about the work I will create!

Inspired by my nervousness about change as I enter adulthood, Baby Teeth is an exploration of how we may cling to the past in moments of vulnerability. It is an indie drama story of two childhood friends who attempt to reconnect with one another through a camping trip to find the baby teeth they buried as kids. During their trip, the duo is pulled apart in moments of awkwardness, tension, and conflicts surrounding being an adult but they are ultimately pulled back together by their deep platonic love for one another.

By supporting this campaign, you would be helping with just a few but mighty aspects of our budget. Due to the setting of this film, the cast and crew will be camping on the Olympic Peninsula for shooting. Your funding will go towards feeding the cast and crew, camping supplies for the trip, COVID safety equipment, and renting any necessary film equipment we don't already have.
