WE ARE BANDSHEE
We are a stoner/alt/grunge band from Louisville, KY and we need YOUR help to scream into the void, so to speak!

THE STORY
We've been kicking this idea around for a full length album for a while, now. A sort of homage to Led Zeppelin IV, only with MORE LOTR because the nerd vibes are high with us and it's 2023 and if we wanna write about orcs and elves and crap, well, why not???
We ***finally*** have a track listing worthy of this album concept, and we've started putting the songs together.
What makes makes this project so different from our previous EPs is that this is a full length album. Eight intense songs with vocals and guitar that ask more of me than any previous project. Stephen has delved into his producer side with arrangements, dubs and overdubs and an in-depth plan for demos before we ever step foot into Sneak Attack with our dear sound wizard friend J. Groves.
But here's the rub.
We're a completely self-financed band, we don't have super lucrative day jobs, and there's just not a lot of money in our pockets. Every cent Bandshee earns through gigs, merch or album sales goes directly back into Bandshee. That includes making sure the rhythm section gets some kind of payment. They work hard, and I live and will die by the words "what's mine is ours."
In other words, Stephen and I never keep a penny for ourselves.
We all know there's no money in streaming for little guys like Bandshee and touring non-stop is a big ask of band-mates who have jobs and families and, well, bills that Bandshee can't pay (yet). And I, Romana here, am FIRMLY OPPOSED to mining my band for cash to record. That smacks of "pay to play" in my mind and I won't do it. So where will the money come from?
Hopefully, that's where you all come in.
What We Need, Roughly:
$3500 for Studio Recording Time (including mixing and mastering)
$500 for Album artwork (we thiiiiiiink)
$1300 for The Vinyl (including the printing and the sleeves)
$200 for other perks like CDs/posters/stickers/album merch
If we exceed our goal, that means we can do cool things like record a bonus track, and maybe even put gas in the tour van and hit YOUR town!
If we don't meet the goal, we'll take what we can get and carve the rest out somehow. I'm not scared. After all, I can kind of fly.

What you get!!
This campaign is going to function kinda like a pre-order, so you get....
- The First Actual Vinyl Records Bandshee Has Ever Produced (!!!!!!!)
- First CD and digital access
- Cool Long Road merch just for the funders
- Romana at your house serenading you with Black Sabbath songs (OK, you'd have to give me, like $1000 bucks for that one...)
- Your name/handle on the giant cloth I'm painting to hang as our backdrop for the album release.
Risks & Challenges
Recording ALWAYS takes longer than you think.
If you've been following Bandshee for any amount of time, you'll know we're on our third iteration of this band. While we HOPE we don't get in the studio and start hating each other, it wouldn't be the first time that happened. But, Bandshee has always pulled through somehow, and we are making this album, no matter what. If I have to tank my credit, busk on the bridge in the winter, I. Don't. Care.
I'm making The Long Road, because this music is who I am.
The Impact
Have you ever had a wild dream come true? You remember how that felt? Well, here's your chance to be on the other side. In modern times, a band is like a very hungry shark. You feed everything you've got to it, and it can still smell blood in the form of dollars in your bank account. Streaming platforms pay nil, literally now, and most people don't care about this massive, life changing, beautiful, dangerous, irresistible art shark in your soul called Music. But hopefully, if you've read this far, you're not just pointing and laughing at us. Hopefully, you care.
I hope our music brings you passion and emotion, or escape, or maybe just some dank vibes for a while in this crazy life. Is it naive or stupid to hope our music changes your life for the better, even just a little bit? I guess I'll just have to be a naive idiot, because I believe it can.
