Banjo Coffee is a three person band out of Atlanta, Georgia. We are comprised of Billy & Chasidy Atchison (husband and wife) and Sebastian Kegel (German coffee lover). Combining our love of coffee, decades of marketing and product knowledge, and logistic and financial backgrounds, not to mention our keen senses of wit and creative extracts, we bring multiple levels of experience to this product launch.
Our vision is to create and maintain a sustainable and ethical company while crafting the most delicious cold brew coffee ever!
WHAT IS A BANJO COLD BREW
Banjo Cold Brew is a libation for the most perceptive of palates. Produced with artisan-roasted, specialty-grade beans from exotic origins by lovely human beings. Here's how specialty-grade beans rank in the bean world:
By cold brewing our quality beans (top 10% of beans in the whole world) from South and Latin America you can recognize a sweet, distinctive difference from the first sip. Our Original (Latin American blend) has notes of nutty, caramel flavors, and our Organic Sweetened (Peruvian) has a smooth, chocolate balance. We're proud to note that all of our beans are sourced from farmers at, or above, Fair Trade pricing.
There are many other benefits to our cold brew, including the following:
-
All-natural, vegan, gluten free, and lactose free.
-
Typically more caffeinated than your average cup of hot coffee due to the cold brew method.
-
Smooth overall taste! Some people compare it to a strong tea profile. The coffee doesn’t need any milk or sweetener, but there are those that insist on “fine tuning” to their liking. Hey, everyone’s different. We get it.
-
Less acidic and easier on the old tum-tum and esophageal region, because we don’t add hot water to the beans while brewing - thus allowing the coffee time to naturally brew with little to no “bite.”
- Versatile. You can mix it in recipes - add it to an alcohol for killer cocktails, or use it when cooking rich desserts, like tiramisu.
- You can even heat it up to satisfy your need for a hot coffee.
That’s it... a way to revolutionize your coffee routine in one small pour.
CAFFEINATE RESPONSIBLY
We have a responsibility to our palates to provide delectable tastes whenever possible, but we also strive to be responsible in our approach. Banjo prides itself in being part of the craft coffee movement where there is an emphasis on quality products and quality process. Creating our cold brew in small batches ensures that each batch is perfect. As a consumer you should have a high-quality, crafted coffee ready-to-drink, and it’s part of our company’s mission to deliver that to you, consistently, every time.
We also believe in doing business responsibly. This means:
- Taking time in our process to ensure that we have ethical standards for ourselves and our suppliers, vendors, and ingredients.
-
Staying as local as possible with all our business dealings.
- Repurpose leftover grounds into compost or other products, such as body scrubs.
-
Recycling and reducing our footprint at each step of the process.
We have partnered with a local organization to donate $2.50 per every pound of beans we buy (or $0.25 for each 32oz howler) directly to a food and farming-based charitable project. So every bottle you buy makes you that much more of a super hero!
Most people drink coffee as a necessity, but we CAFFEINATE RESPONSIBLY.
