What is Bar Fight?
It’s Ben’s birthday and his friends are taking him to a local dive bar to celebrate. As the guy’s continue to drink the situation turns sour as 80’s action movie clichés are fulfilled and the gang picks a fight with an unexpected underdog.
Bar Fight is best parody idea EVER! But really, we've all seen it before... that bar fight action sequence that happens in old 80's films, Steven Seagal movies, and really bad straight to DVD flops. Do we ever figure out WHY they're fighting or why things play out as they do? How come they always pick a fight with someone who will eventually kick their ass? Bar Fight is a parody of the countless 80's action sequences that always start with an instigator starting a fight with a stranger for little to no reason whatsoever.
Meet the Producer & Director:
Hey everyone! We, producer Nicole Saraniero and director Stephen Paunovski, are both seniors at Hofstra University graduating this May with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Television/Video and Film Production. This project is our senior level film production, but it isn't just a class assignment for us. Instead, this is our chance to make a great film with the support of our professors and peers. This isn't the first time we've worked together to make something awesome. Last semester we co-produced a live in studio comedy show titled On Campus Comedy. We have both been successful in many other television and film prooductions independently as well. Nicole is the package producer for Hofstra's live sketch comedy show Thursday Nite Live. She is also the resident director of Hofstra's morning news show Hofstra Today and has produced a music special called City Limits featuring Robbin Pain. Along with all the work Nicole does in the television department, she has also produced and directed her own short film called Mine, and has been on crew for various film shoots. Stephen has made his directorial debut writing and directing a short film titled From Faces to Masks. He also has experience in acting in various sketch comedy productions for Hofstra's Thursday Night Live as well as other dramatic pieces. Stephen has also crewed on a variety of different productions in both film and television such as Thusday Night Live, Sports Beat, and Director's Cut. He is currently producing a half-hour political talk show titled The Liberty Report!

Together, with your help, we can make this movie KICK ASS!
(not like this picture of us)
Why we need your Help!
Your donations will help make this film rock! The largest part of our budget will go to purchasing film stock and paying for film processing.
Another big part of our budget consist of location fees. If we want this film to look good, we can't just shoot in front of some painted wood flats, we want to shoot in a REAL bar.
We will also the funds to help recreate the 1980's in 2013. Big hair, leather jackets, ripped jeans, fishnets, power gloves, Pantera patches... you know the look.
We want our film to look the best it possible can. This requires a great set, great props, great costumes, and great film stock.
Do we really need another movie about a bunch of drunk thugs teaming up on an underdog for no reason?
Ugh...YES! Did we even need to ask ourselves? This isn't just another bar fight from a Steven Seagal movie. We want to parody the ridiculousness these alpha-males in these cliché films while at the same time fulfilling them.
(But yes, there will also be a sweet bar fight... and power gloves)
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't donate to our film it's okay, we still love you. You can help up by spreading the word, posting the link to our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, page to your friends, Posting on our Facebook, Sharing 80's part pictures with us, Drawing pop art, talking about our film, making videos, and/or ANYTHING ELSE!
Everything helps!
