Who we are

We are a group of Italian guys and we've been friends since we were kids. Now that we've become adults and everyone has different jobs, lives in different cities, etc., we're struggling to keep in contact, organize a meeting or an event, plan a trip together and so on...

We realized that, even with all the technologies we have today, it's no easy task to keep our group alive, and this problem is quite common. So we started studying a possible solution to coordinate, plan and share information and activities in a small group.

Then what?

As a result, we're now developing a simple but effective app that allows to create, manage, organize and share the activities of small groups of individuals, like families, small offices, housemates, sport teams, groups of friends, etc...

Beehive?

Where do single individuals cooperate through an extremely simple, yet amazing, common structure that allows them to reach an incredible result?

Did you know the beehive is the most effective organization in the world?

That's where we got our inspiration from!

So, how does the app work?

First of all, a group of users decide to associate and create their own BeeHive.

This way they create a structure they can use to communicate, share, plan coordinate and control their activities.

The app is made of simple modules, like the cells in a beehive, and the users, like bees, create and personalize the elements of these cells to organize and coordinate their activities.

In the different modules the users can add, share and update schedules, shopping lists, message boards, maps and locations, etc..

Thanks to the modular organizational structure, all the members of the beehive can contribute through their individual activities to reach their shared goal.

A few examples...

First, take our situation as an example. As I said, we're a group of friends, who were once living

together and now work in different cities. We want to keep our old group and our friendship alive. Instead of using different tools for different tasks and dispersive media where our small group would have no identity and would be harder to manage, we use a simple app on our smartphones or tablets.

We use the message module to communicate within the group and we keep in contact with all the other members. We decide to meet after a long time, and plan a weekend for snowboarding in the mountains. We use the calendar module to agree on a specific date. We keep in contact through messages and use the shopping list module to create lists of what we need and assign specific tasks to everyone. And here comes the weekend we've been waiting for, finally on the slopes... until someone gets lost. Using the gps module, we can share our positions and so we easily find ourselves together again...

Or you could think of a mother who needs to manage the shopping for her family, keep track of events and appointments, locate where her kids are, organize a birthday party for her husband...

Or think of a sport team planning the training, sharing updates and news, showing a position where they have to meet...

There is plenty of similar situations where the app could be extremely useful for small offices, housemates, coworkers, schoolmates, voluntary associations...

What We Need 

We need $3,000 to cover basic start-up expenses such as:

- Server space

- Domains

- Web development

- Graphic design

- Software design

- Software developement

- Tax and legal consultancy

- Publishing on app stores

- Promotion and advertising

As this is a flexible funding project, we plan to build this app regardless of how much money we raise, but every little bit will help us get to our goal that much faster.

If we go beyond our goal, we'll use the money to improve the app with as many functions as possible, to promote it, to take it to more systems and platforms, etc...

After all, like a real beehive, as much as the bees contribute, as much as the hive can grow and develop!
