ABOUT THE BHAKTI YOGA PRISON PROJECT
Our prison system is broken.
Over 2.6 MM people are incarcerated and struggling for survival, meaning and purpose behind bars. While the prison industrial complex is committed to feeding, housing and clothing their bodies — what about their souls?
Conscious Living® TV is partnering with IPBYS prison program to go behind the prison walls to film the work of a small band of inspiring bhakti yogis who are providing love and compassion to America’s forgotten souls through yoga.
Please help us complete filming and post-production on this important episode of Conscious Living® TV airing on Amazon Prime. Additionally, your donation will also support the IPBYS 501(c)3 Prison Program by providing much needed resources to share spiritual teachings, on-site visits and outreach to countless incarcerated souls.
This project will bring love, understanding and inspiration to the darkest corners of America. Through bhakti yoga, incarcerated students are encouraged and supported to take responsibility for their actions through an understanding of karma, to release anger in favor of acceptance, to develop positive and hopeful outlooks on the future, and to practice more love and compassion in every part of their lives.
ABOUT THE PARTNERS
IPBYS Prison Program, a branch of the non-profit organization IPBYS Outreach, is dedicated to the spiritual and personal development of inmates, delivered through an interactive educational program on Gaudiya Vaisnava philosophy and its meditation practices. They provide books on the spiritual teachings of yoga, write letters to inmates, make personal visits and support the structure of weekly kirtan and devotional time where incarcerated adults can chant, sing, meditate and share their love with the Divine together.
Conscious Living is currently in post-production on it's fourth season. Largely self-funded for the last 12 years, your contribution will allow us to complete the long and extensive post-production process on this episode and finish our 4th season, which will air across 120 regional cable TV markets in the U.S. and on Amazon Prime in 2020.
Your donation is 100% tax deductible through the IPBYS, 501(c)3. Funds will go towards bringing the work of the Bhakti Behind Bars Prison Project to the world including:
