A battery-powered motor fan pushes air into the BioVYZR, creating positive pressure inside the BioVYZR's hood. This positive pressure pushes out exhaled air from inside through two filtering air vents. Inflowing air passes through a KN95 filter to remove up to 95% of particulate matter from the inflowing air. This includes, but is not limited to, aerosol-transmitted pathogens, mist droplets, pollen, dust, soot, and pet dander. It's important to keep in mind that if infectious particles are caught in the filters, it is important to take precautions when replacing the filters to avoid contamination. Your BioVYZR will come with detailed instructions on how to safely replace and dispose of used filters. 

We're able to execute this ambitious production timeline because we already have established material sourcing and manufacturing partners on the ground. Before pivoting to the BioVYZR, we were already in the process of manufacturing our own product lines. The BioVYZR is an outer layer that protects against airborne hazards in our daily environments. When it comes to protecting against airborne hazards, it can provide better protection than face masks and KN95 respirators. Its proprietary design offers a 360-degree seal to shield your personal space on all sides. It also features a built-in air purifying system to filter out pathogens, allergens, and pollutants from the air you breathe. The BioVYZR a type of PPE known as a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (or PAPR). These are mostly used in industrial or healthcare environments. The BioVYZR 1.0 packs this critical technology into a practical design to help keep you safe on the go.

VYZR Technologies was founded by siblings Dina and Yezin Al-Qaysi in response to the lack of innovative and effective Protective Personal Equipment (PPEs) available to the public in the face of a global pandemic. 

Our team is made up of passionate designers, problem solvers, and entrepreneurs working in overdrive to create gear for our new normal. Based in Toronto, Canada and working in quarantine, we believe that our real challenge is not COVID-19. It’s dealing with a complete lack of effective PPEs required to protect the population and prevent transmission. 

The first product we’re deploying, the BioVYZR, is a consumer-grade Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

IMPORTANT:  We only ship to addresses in USA & Canada. We charge a flat rate of $55 CAD ($41 USD) to ship each BioVYZR. Please note that BioVYZRs come in a large box, with dimensions of 33'' x 22" x 9.5".

Our project team is comprised of seasoned entrepreneurs, product designers and supply chain experts with more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and manufacturing experience. We’re committed to making sure that our products will exceed your expectations. 

The BioVYZR is a first in its category. It’s also the byproduct of a new and uncertain time and there are many unknowns ahead. Our manufacturing partners are on board and they assure us they have the materials and manpower to get everything produced on time and to our exacting standards. 

We'd also emphasize that what you’re seeing on this page are prototypes, so expect the final product to be better built and more amazing looking. We're actively working on our round two prototypes which will have the finalized air purifying and ventilation functionality. 

One of the supply chain risks we’re concerned about relates to the N95/N99 filters our BioVYZRs will require. Two of these layers use a very special material called Melt-Blown fiber. Not only is this nano-filtering material extremely difficult to produce, but with the global COVID-19 pandemic in full swing, there’s a global supply shortage. This has made it both scarce and more expensive. Luckily we have many connections to suppliers of this material, but there is a risk that accessing it could become even more difficult in the near future. 

The final risk is any disruption in the transport of goods globally. We know that oil prices are experiencing a lot of volatility as are the airline and shipping industries. We’re monitoring the situation closely and we’re committed to doing our absolute best to make sure you get your BioVYZR in a timely manner.
