-DFW Film Crew-
The DFW Film Crew was founded by Alex Espinoza as a place for artists around the Dallas-Fort Worth area to get together and experience the process of filmmaking. There is no fee for people to join, no experience needed, and any age group is welcome. It is a place to learn, experience, and let your imagination come to life. All members get to be a part of the production and no one is left on the sideline so long as they are genuinely interested and want to be part of the fun. All the equipment, resources, and guidance needed is provided to all crew members however possible; either through the help of the the crew members or by purchasing it for them so they have the tools they need. This is what makes it possible for everyone to finally be a part of the filmmaking process, the need for a crew, equipment, and resources is all available to them; their only requirement is to let their talents and imaginations run wild so that they can create what they always dreamed of.
-Expenses-
Creating a film does not just require expensive equipment, but other tools and necessities as well. Locations need to be rented, food needs to be purchased for the crew, props built or bought for the set, designs need to be printed, and all the travel expenses that come with filming all over Dallas. Everything adds up quickly, but these are losses we hope on recovering.
For this reason, we need the support from people like you. This is the the DFW Film Crews first production, and they have spent countless hours and plenty of hard work making the best possible film they can make. The goal is to make more after this one, bigger, and better. Our resources will only get bigger, but to move on forward, we need that extra push you can provide!
-Bipedal Impulses-
Bipedal Impulses follows the characters of a married couple and their hidden secrets. What makes this film challenging and unique for the crew, is that the entire film will be shot through the perspective of the characters legs. This makes every shot, action, sound, and set piece even more important to be able to tell the story. Its a challenging feat, but one that pushes the imaginations of the crew and challenges them to bring new ideas on how to visually tell a story. The idea was originally voted by the crew as the first production, and Patrick Burke took challenge of creating it into a story for the big screen.
-Crew Roles-
Patrick Burke was the chosen writer for the first production and is Directing the film alongside Amanda Baker. Together, they have created the vision and story that is Bipedal Impulses.
Although every character is shot from below the waist, we still needed the help of talented actors to portray the actions that their characters needed to express. Sarah Hibbert, Josh Vazquez, and Alberto Pandya make up the cast.
Nathaniel Aron is the cinematographer responsible for creating the shots the director needs. He works along side Camera Operator Caitlyn Spiritus, Camera Supervisor Ramsey Attia, Script Supervisor B. Byron Whitten, Assistant Director Michael Rosemond. Other crew members who alternated roles as needed on set include Sandeep Gudipudi, Satonious Webb, Divina Penaloza, Clay Harrison, Price Ogilvie and Ronald Sisk. Laurél Bourgeois handled all the behind the scene footage we will include on our limited edition DVDs!
The crew also welcomes musicians and we have two talented musicians who created the original music for this film and will be working on the audio for the film, Michael Wagner and Evan Walter. The editing team who will put all the pieces together consists of Ken Johnson, Jigna Vora, and Adam Locy. Adam also worked with Jonathan Ruiz and Logan McGowan on recording the audio on set.
