Matt Shaw is the award winning filmmaker and actor of 8 feature films and numerous shorts, and an author of over 400 published titles. With positive feedback to his self-narrated audiobooks, he has decided to launch a new business dedicated solely to the creation of audiobooks (his own work plus the work of other writers - both new and old).

With the police having no luck in uncovering what's happened - he's given up hope until a pen-drive arrives on his doorstep... This is a mixed media project available in PDF, paperback and hardback (limited quantity). At various stages within the book, you will find links to the exact sound file the husband is forced to endure (for those who don't like audio, there will be written transcripts too). This book is only available through this campaign.

2. Personalised short horror story

Written and narrated by Matt Shaw, starring you.  These stories are based on your fears and come with both the audio version of the story and a signed paperback exclusively for you.

Jeremy Jumper isn’t like normal people. He has a medical
condition which causes a large mass to grow on the end of
his nose. It starts as a red mark and, over the following
days, balloons to ridiculous size. Strangers stop and stare,
others dive for cover, worried it’s about to explode.

Of course Jeremy has a close group of friends around him
who are nothing but supportive of him and his condition.
Whenever it flares up, they have his back and... Oh who
am I trying to kid? Jeremy’s friends are cunts and tease
him relentlessly.

But, as the mass grows, so too does Jeremy’s temper and
it’s only a matter of time before something explodes. The
question is: what will pop first? The lump or the violent
rage brewing within him?

The Impact

If this campaign hits, it's literally the difference between the business moving ahead or not. Your contribution, no matter how "small" will ensure that not only can things move forward but, also, at least one new audio book a month while also future-proofing the business for years to come.

If the campaign does hit, not only does it mean more of Matt Shaw's own works are translated to audio, but he will also be in a position to offer cost-effective narration for other authors too. 

Risks & Challenges

Obviously the biggest challenge is hitting the campaign goal itself, which is why it has been set up for 60 days to give us the maximum opportunity. 

Thankfully, the risks involved are very little given the software has already been learned and Matt has already done some audiobooks to ensure he understands both the editing process and the needs of ACX (the site in which these audiobooks are loaded). It's also worth noting that he will be hosting a site of his own where Audio work can be purchased cheaper than the "normal" sites, as well as allowing him the freedom to record work too graphic for Amazon.
