For years we’ve all seen only one perspective on blended families, a stereotype that has been regurgitated many times. In our television show, Blended, we want the audience to experience another side that transcends stereotypes but brings to the forefront just how powerful love can be in good times and bad. We will do this through authentic relatable characters in a grounded story.

SO, WHAT IS BLENDED?

Blended is a story of two families: the Wallaces (a white family) and the Washingtons (a black family) who have spent decades in each other’s lives, through many of life's milestones and experiences. Despite coming from different backgrounds, they consider each other like their own blood. When the Wallace family is tragically killed in a car accident, Tori and Keith Washington get custody of the only surviving member of the family, their Goddaughter: a four-year-old named Emily.
Dealing with the tragic loss their friends brings its own kind of pain, but taking Emily home is about to change everyone’s life in ways that will prove love and a little faith can get you through anything. (Family Drama, 10 Episodes)

Everyone who has become a part of Blended has joined because they believe in the concept and the message it brings to the world right now. Should we not reach our goal, we will work to make it for whatever amount we do raise. We have plans to shoot only the trailer or POC to take to market if we don't hit our target goal. Though having a full pilot will make it easier to get picked up, we are grateful for and will work with what we have.
WHAT WE'RE FACING NOW
The cold hard fact about film and television, especially for Indie Producers is that there are risks. We go into a project knowing that no matter how much money or hard we work it may not be enough. That is the truth.
Now, having said that we are prepared to approach the risks and the obstacles in ways that will give us opportunity. The first thing we are doing is filming the pilot early in 2024. Why? This will allow us to complete the rough edit and take it to market early in the year. It also allows us to meet with Networks, and Streamers, as well as Distributors to present our series for their consideration. Early 2024 allows Blended to be made in time for pilot season too.
In the event that the markets aren't enough to get our show picked up, we will self-distribute through the likes of Amazon and FilmHub where we have multiple projects released including a series and shorts.
We know that the most important thing is to have tangible content to present and get noticed with. Your help is what will make that possible on this important project.
