Short Summary
Split into chapters, each with different perspectives, this story focuses on the recurring selfishness and ignorance that greases the wheels for which this world turns. Relevant now more than ever, this film explores the relationship between pain and luxury. For one to succeed another must suffer. The spoils and pleasures of the modern day come from a line of slavery, exploitation, destruction, and unjust systems.
From slave fishing ships in Thailand to the unhoused on Skid Row, a wide variety of perspectives create an all encompassing story.
Everyone tries to break the wheel for which the world turns, some more hopeful than others.
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking for about $10k to fund Blind Man’s Bible. Shooting a feature film is costly and all donations will be well spent from food and props to locations and travel. The content of the film will match the style, meaning production will remain grounded, on-location, and raw. Not only is this form of filmmaking more cost effective, but it favors the story we are trying to tell.
About The Creators
Atticus Lutz is a filmmaker and USC Film & TV student who boasts a diverse portfolio of creative work. From fantasy to crime drama, he has directed over twenty short films, earning recognition at several film festivals. Growing up in Los Angeles, where Blind Man’s Bible is largely set, he has been making movies for as long as he can remember.
Todor Pophristic is a filmmaker and Chapman Screenwriting student whose work provokes audiences to confront their complicity in the modern machine of exploitation. With over fifteen short films, he has honed a signature style rooted in irreverence—bending expectations to unravel viewers’ foundational beliefs. Blind Man’s Bible is the culmination of a decade-long artistic evolution, expanding both stylistically and thematically on the foundations he has been shaping since childhood.
The Impact
Blind Man’s Bible touches on glaring issues with modern society and human consumption. The film inherently spreads awareness for problems so deeply ingrained in our lives we barely realize they exist. This film doesn’t provide answers, rather a choice. Laugh or cry?
