Who Are Raincross Press and What is Blood World?

Raincross Press is a collection of writers and artists from across the globe who have partnered together to create independent titles that focus on storytelling and world building.  We want to spark your imagination and provide you with an entertaining experience that makes you yearn for the next part of the story.

Blood World is our debut graphic title.  Based on the Blood World universe by writer, D.W. Howard (OPSEC, The Long Game), this science fiction epic takes places in our solar system in the year 2587.  The setting can best be described as one part Dune, one part Game of Thrones,  and one part Gattaca with a smattering of fantasy and Blade Runner thrown in for good measure.  The format for the book has taken inspiration from foundational titles like 2000 AD and Heavy Metal, and will be an 80 + page graphic anthology of stories and additional content in each issue.

Your support on this project will help us bring our dream to life so that we can deliver that vision to you.  All of us here at Raincross fell in love with this vision of the far future and your support will allow us to bring this world to life for you, our readers.  Your support will fund the final artwork for the book, printing and shipping costs and packaging  We are committed to hitting the ground running and your support will help us in that goal.

What We Need & What You Get

What Do We Need

Making a graphic anthology can be a pricey endeavor, doubly so if you want to make a quality product.  We are seeking a minimum of $9200 to fund the rest of the artwork on the book, printing services for physical copies, shipping materials and production costs for a variety of perks that we will be offering. 

We are going to be utilizing flexible funding and any funds raised are refundable if our campaign does not reach it's goal.  If you stay with us that money will be used to progress the art and all orders on this campaign will be honored in the follow up campaign.  (We won't give up!)

None of this would be possible with the incredibly talented group of artists and writers who have banded together from across the globe to make this project reality.  Everyone of these individuals has a proven track record of creating and delivering comics and all of them are incredibly excited about delivering this project to you.  We'd like to introduce them to you now

• D.W. Howard is the creator of Blood World and the writer behind titles like OPSEC and The Long Game for ASAPImagination.
• Jeff Bracey is the Raincross Art Director, artist and writer.  His titles include Mr Happy and Symbols of Liberty.
• Steve Sellers is a talented writer who writes for Revelation Comics (and Omen Comics). His titles include (White Druid/)Michael Nero and Blitz.
• David Taylor II is a talented writer of comics and prose.  Among his many titles is Lucifer: Soldiers, Serpents and Sin and The Nephilim Wars.
• Michael Nunneley is a talented writer and comic company owner himself. He has written such titles as Seidr and Dragon Girl And Albino Warrior for Omen Comics (and Revelation Comics)
• TTosin Awosika is a talented artist of Nigeria who has done work previously for Omen Comics (and Revelation Comics)..
• David Jackson is an incredibly talented artist who has a background in corporate graphics.
• SanmiCrown Studios is a successful group of comic artists and creatives out of South Africa
• Bryan Wilson is an up and coming artist out of the Pacific Northwest who has created Fallen, a web comic worth checking out
• Kostomeyer is an established artist out of the UK who is active in web comics and on Deviantart
