Amelia, an eighteen year old girl spends a weekend babysitting two boisterous young girls experiencing puberty and uncovering their first loves. After all these years living under the pressure of her conservative parents, she never really had any experience with relationships and guys her age. Her friends in high school would always bring back boys home but she never had the chance to or even want to.
Amelia accepts to babysit the girls who live down the street from her. She doesn’t know that these kids are loud and very open about everything!
These two young girls, Olivia (13 years old) is currently discovering her sexuality and being influenced by her friends from school to have a boyfriend. The little innocent sister Charlotte (6 years old) is not aware of what Olivia is really up to. Charlotte is pretty curious for her age and just wants to have fun. They both grew up with parents that were rarely at home, which made them do whatever they wanted; no supervision, no rules, just a free for all!
Amelia falls into a situation she never dealt with before. Seeing younger girls being more experienced with relationships, sexuality and their bodies makes her realize that she is missing out on something. Seeing a 13 year old kiss her boyfriend confuses Amelia.
Amelia, Olivia and Charlotte build a complex relationship together throughout the weekend where they all evolve as young women through hardships despite their age gap.
We are all graduating this year from Ryerson University’s film school and are funding this entire project with our own money!
Being a student and working a part-time job can’t fully pay for our tuition, rent, food and especially not this $ 6,000 film!
By donating we decided to give back some swag as a little souvenir! Make sure to click on the type of perks to get your surprise when you donate!
With this story, we want to portray the reality of growing up as a young girl and bring light to how girls are constantly sexualized at an early age!
But most importantly, we want to have a discussion about first times, sexuality and puberty and how we shouldn't take every aspect of growing up too seriously!
Here's our team, these are the few people that helped! There are many others! (Including you)
Helping us would give us an opportunity to continue our passion of filmmaking and especially giving a voice to young girls and women! We want to change history, show the world that women are strong and set good examples to future generations of girls.
Every donation will help, no doubt!
Tell your friends, co-workers, significant other even neighbours to follow our social media and most importantly to share this campaign!
