Introducing the BMW Retrofit Cluster

This digital cluster is not only able to give you the look and feel of an analog dashboard -- it will also allow you the change the look of the whole dashboard with the switch of a button -- You can choose from different dashboard styles preloaded on the cluster and in future download many styles or add-ons on our website. Simply load them onto your USB and plug it in your cluster. It will automatically be updated.

This digital dashboard opens the door to so many more possibilities than any analog cluster ever could. The BMW Retrofit Cluster allows you to implement a near endless number of different skins and features like rear view camera options, customizable startup animations, instant MpH to KpH conversion and additional gauges just to name a few.

The BMW Retrofit Cluster is almost in the last stages of product testing. Over 90% of the work has already been done so when you support our campaign you are guaranteed to receive your promised product. We only need the last push to take this product to a level where we and especially you will be satisfied with.

Not only will your support help us with further development and production of this cluster, but more importantly it allows us to start development of additional custom-made skins and features to give you the ability to completely customize your cluster to your taste. 

At the moment we are able to offer the BMW Retrofit Cluster for the following models:

E81, E82, E87, E88, E90, E91, E92, E93, E60, E61, E63, E64, E84, E83 E70, E71

In addition to our retrofit cluster we will develop a unique cluster cover for the following models which makes this retrofit just like an OE cluster. This cluster will be delivered as a plug and play cluster for your car.

The unique cluster cover will ONLY be available for the following models:

E60, E61, E63, E64, E70, E71, E90, E91, E92, E93 

For the E81, E82, E87, E88, E65, E66, E84, E83  models we don't offer a unique cluster cover but we will offer a bracket and gauge-plate to mount the retrofit cluster in your dashboard. For these models you have to do some rework on your original cluster cover to maintain the OE integrated look.

Our retrofit cluster for BMW is built upon ID4motion digital cluster platform which means that the entire product is developed and produced with Dutch quality. With our developed hardware, software and graphical user interface we can make anything what is attracting for BMW drivers. 

The idea started more than a year ago while working for a large OEM that desperately was looking for a nicely integration of an LCD display in a vehicle dashboard. We integrated a 12.3-Inch display into a BMW E6x series attached with the original instrument cluster cover which made a perfectly solution for our project. But when starting this aftermarket project we faced some challenges. 

• The cluster has to fit different BMW models. 
• The 12.3-Inch display is hard to integrate in the dashboard because of the large size.
• We wanted to have a more ‘open’ style of display without fixed rings (more freedom in design) 
• We needed to lower the cost price in order to have a better sales price for you.

In meantime we have changed our development to a 10.3-inch display which is smaller and also of   “Automotive grade” and thus fits better for our aftermarket project. Because of the smaller size it now also fits the smaller dashboards like E9x and E8x. Everybody happy so far! Our estimation is that we are going to sell more displays since we have a wider target market, so we could calculate a lower price. The user will not notice the smaller display besides slightly different design, but still the same size of speed and RPM dials are possible. We also listened to you by leaving out the BMW fixed rings so we are now able to create more fancy graphical user interfaces. And finally, the development of a custom cover is now easier and cheaper.

Overall, we are happy that we have  chosen this setup because we could all benefit from this!

Functionality:

Speedometer, RPM, fuel level, date and time, odo and trip meter, cruise control, MPG gauge

Direction left and right, gears (automatic transmission), sportbutton (automatic transmission), high beam, LDW, cruise control, foglight front and rear, airbag, seatbelt, active steering, handbrake, brakefluid, DTC and ABS, check state, CE, TPMS

(Functionality is only working if vehicle has these options already available) 

In the cluster menu you can manage following functions: metric/imperial (km/h / mp/h), brightness, change available parameters, change to available GUI (skin)

With the available USB port on the cluster you can do future feature or GUI updates. We are planning on some fantastic nice features soon.

After selecting a perk you are able to select add-ons. There are different add-ons available but these are depending on what is available for your selected cluster package. Please go through all the perks and add-ons before making your final choice. Available add-ons for example are: vehicle cable adapter, unique cover, bracket, your flavor of unique software updates like updated dials or adding a coolant fluid temperature or oil temperature gauge. 

Warranty is 1 year and limited to replace of product or if ID4motion decides, a (partly) refund. No costs or liability for (dis)assembly or damage to vehicle or persons.
