Greetings!
It’s been a minute! Your favorite operatic cinematic psychedelic surf noir band has been busy regrouping after the pandemic, working on our next record, AND producing the album’s first video! We are in need of your help to finish things up and give you the best record we can.
You might remember that Bombay Rickey got its start back around 2010-11 as an Yma Sumac cover band that quickly morphed into our own “pan-global cocktail [that’s] a true treat for the adventurous ear” (Mac Randall, TimeOut NY). Since then we’ve made two records (2018’s Electric Bhairavi won the Best Eclectic Album at the 2018 Independent Music Awards), toured the Northeastern Seaboard, and created and produced a cabaret show based on the life and music of our beloved Yma Sumac (premiered at NYC’s Prototype Festival 2016), that we also brought to London that same year.
In Summer 2021 we had a residency at the bucolic Antenna Cloud Farm in Western Massachusetts to work on the new compositions for our next record, then spent the next year getting them recorded in Montclair NJ and New York City. Now we need to put the finishing touches on the mixes, get it mastered, get the artwork, start distribution, and put out our video. That’s where you come in!
