Who we are
The team behind Bootleg Brew Co. consists of Matt Tilley and Morgan Turner. We met while working together at Newfound Sushi. We've both been working in the restaurant industry across Canada for years and have seen that more and more that people like to know where their food and drink come from. Using the skills we've gained from years behind the line, we've developed beers to compliment food, and seasonal beers to show off the best that Newfoundland has to offer. We're planning to open a 3 bbl microbrewery in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, so that we can produce enough to share our beer all across the island.
Why we're here
We've been working hard over the last few months to source the best equipment and ingredients possible, as well as an existing building that fits our specific needs. We are just looking for that last push to make sure that we are good to get going. Any funds that we receive will go towards our Brewha 3 bbl system and any renovations that we need to meet all of the regulations necessary to produce beer in Newfoundland.
Our aim
While Newfoundland beer is very nostalgic for us, we both grew up drinking Blackhorse (after we turned 19 of course), we've noticed the huge growth of craft beer in the other provinces we've lived in over the last few years. While it's great drinking a beer that's been carefully crafted with love and attention, the community surrounding it is just as important. Working with local chefs, artists and other brewers, we plan to help create a community across Newfoundland to show off the talented people that call this province home.
