Hi everyone, my name is Jack Smith. I am a filmmaking student from Michigan.

I am so excited to officially announce ‘Bored,’ a short film I’ll be directing this spring thanks to the talent and dedication of many incredible people! ‘Bored’ is a rom-com that takes place in the city of Chicago. When Will, a routine-driven nerd, misses his bus one day, he is thrust into an evening of misadventure and romance.

This story is ultimately a love letter to the city of Chicago and my time here during college. Like Will, living in this city for the past four years has pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to chase my dreams and passions rather than cower away from them.  

To make this film possible, we need your help! 

What we're looking for

We're looking to gather $4,000 dollars for our project to cover: 

• Feeding our talented and devoted cast and crew
• Renting film equipment
• Securing the necessary props, costumes, and locations to bring this story to life.
