The Story of Bottled
The film is set at a lighthouse in the mid
20th century and follows a self-exiled sailor named George who has
been the only lighthouse keeper for some years now. He keeps to himself and
has a compulsive habit of throwing noted bottles into the ocean in attempt to contact an ex-lover, disregarding the fact that he is throwing them
into one of the most chaotic oceans.
Cue the arrival of young injured hiker Harriet, whose curiosity of George and his life leaves him forced to question the blinded method of communication, his self-afflicted solitude, and to face the words of his discarded bottled letters.

The Team
We have an amazing team already, people who are passionate and excited about this film:
-
Nathan Jones - Director 'Filmmaking is that beautiful entity that comprises of so many creative and evolving stages through the forging of a great script to seeing it projected upon the screen. It’s the magic you create, just like when children play games with stories incorporating their endless imaginations, and thankfully adults can get away doing the same thing through filmmaking. That’s what attracted me so much to it all; the screen caught my gaze and I never looked away.'
-
Tessa Mansfield-Hung - Producer 'I have a passion for film in every stage and in every department, there's nothing more satisfying for me than seeing a project start from a small idea, blossom into something real and something great.'
-
Thomas Isaksen - Cinematographer 'I got involved with filmmaking because I
love telling stories. I feel that through moving pictures you create a pure
and layered story that is memorable and exquisite.'
-
Emmett Redding - Editor 'I'm excited to see the potential of this project. Films are the best.'
-
Ayesha Sedgman - Production Designer 'When I realised that I wanted to
work on film sets and get involved with the whole creative process, my love of styling and decorating intertwined into production
design and now it is an area that I am eager to pursue. I'm excited to be a part of this film
and am looking forward to watching the end product in a few months time.'
-
Alexander Dalen - Sound Designer 'I consider myself lucky to be studying a great passion of
mine, film. Being immersed in a universe is important to me, which is why I like working with sound, a very important department that is often overlooked.'
