Let’s rewind to a time when the biggest, brightest, wackiest gameshow to hit our TV screens – Fun House – made its debut on CITV in February 1989 and went on to entertain a generation of children during its decade-long run.

If you’re anything like us, one of your most exciting childhood fantasies was the thought of being a contestant on the show… racing the Fun Karts, hanging out with Pat Sharp and The Twins, and taking on the Fun House itself! We’re all grown up now and supposed to be responsible adults, but it doesn’t stop us dreaming of those carefree Friday afternoons when school was out, the weekend stretched ahead, and Fun House was on the telly! Right?

Well, now you can take part FOR REAL! Leave your adult troubles at the door, let loose and come and escape the real world and play! We want Fun House to return as a live event destination in the heart of London and you’re invited. Yes, your dreams could finally come true as you’ll get to play wacky games, rev up the Fun Karts, dive into the huge ball pool and limber up to take on fantastic slides and inflatables! Use your body and your brain if you wanna play the game!
 

HOW WILL IT WORK?
To dial the fun up to the max, you’ll get to play in teams of 6. If you only want 1 or 2 tickets, we will make sure that you get a nice friendly group to join! Naturally it’ll be team REDS vs team YELLOWS, but in our version of Fun House there are no eliminations and everyone gets to play everything!

We've been working with the original Fun House creator to plan a live experience which is as authentic as possible. We’ve developed a vision for a series of super-sized games which you’ll get to play, helping your team earn advantages for your time in the Fun House Finale.

Pat Sharp’s mullet is sadly unavailable for comment (having hit the salon floor back in 1993) but the television legend himself absolutely loves the idea of bringing back Fun House! He’s even prepared to dust off Melanie and Martina’s pom poms! The Twins want to come along and join the party too. Pat and The Twins will make special guest appearances at the Fun House venue and we’ve even persuaded them to come and re-run the fun of their hosting duties. More details in our VIP pledges.

THE AMBITION
Obviously the main cost driver on a project like this is the physical set itself. This has to be faithful to the original and tap into all of our beautifully fond memories of watching it on telly. Quite simply, the more money we raise, the better the experience will be.

We have big ideas… and all that stands between us and them is your involvement!

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO HAVE A ‘WHOLE LOTTA FUN’?
If the campaign is successful, Fun House will open in London in early 2018. It will be located at an easily accessible top secret venue within the heart of London.

WHY INDIEGOGO?
We’ve been beavering away on this project for months – quietly, but bursting with excitement and desperate to reveal our plans. In our planning stages we have been inundated with offers from private investors wanting to stump up the entire budget for the project (in fact – even more than we are asking for here) but we don’t want to be answering to boring money men. We are fans of the show and want to bring Fun House back for other fans of the show. We don’t need telling how to make it by people in grey suits who didn’t even watch the show and definitely can’t sing the theme tune!

RISKY BUSINESS?
Not at all… no risk for you, because if the project isn’t fully funded you’ll get your money back. For us, the risk is that all our hard work and planning has gone to waste if we don’t reach our target, which would be super disappointing!

Although we were all Fun House fans back in the day, since then we’ve gone on to have successful careers in television where we’ve become used to working on big projects with immovable deadlines. Having produced massive live shows as challenging as The BRIT Awards, the BAFTAs and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, we know that creating and delivering a first class Fun House experience is well within our capabilities and skill-set. We know we can do this and just can’t wait to get started!

HOW LONG WILL I GET TO SPEND IN THE FUN HOUSE?
Your journey through the Fun House experience is currently planned to last between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours.

HOW MUCH WILL TICKETS BE WHEN YOU OPEN?
Currently this is the only place to get your hands on tickets. We don’t yet have plans to extend our run beyond the tickets available here. MISS THEM AND YOU MAY MISS OUT!

HOW LONG WILL FUN HOUSE BE OPEN FOR?
We would love to hang out in the Fun House for ever more, but we plan to be open for the length of time it will take to service all of the tickets made available via our campaign. If you want us to, we’ll stay, but initial plans are only for a limited run.

HOW DOES THE TICKETING PROCESS WORK?
When you make a ticket pledge (age restriction : 16+) you will receive confirmation of your ticket via Indiegogo. Should we reach our target, this will guarantee you admission to the Fun House.

Between the end of the campaign and the Fun House opening its doors we will offer the opportunity to book slot times and dates to suit the ticket holder. If you have pledged for priority tickets, you will get a window of time, prior to majority access, to cherry pick your desired slot times and dates.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T REACH YOUR TARGET?

WHO WILL HOST MY EXPERIENCE?

If we fully fund and you have pledged for VIP rewards, your experience will be hosted by none other than Pat Sharp and the original Fun House Twins – Melanie and Martina!

If you have the standard ticket pledges or any of the early bird options, your journey will be hosted by a member of our Fun Team of first class interactive theatre actors.

WILL THERE BE GUNGE?
We are confident that we can deliver every other element of the original Fun House experience, but sadly not gunge. The insurance guys are very, very worried that you’ll slip and break your precious bones. (Also, we can’t afford to offer to dry clean all of your fabulous outfits!)

All that said, maybe we could twist the arms of the Fun Police and have limited gungy sessions?

We are TV producers too, so would love to see Fun House back on our screens!

Between us we have spent (and continue to spend) many years in television production, often working with £1million plus budgets and making the seemingly impossible possible. We’ve made shows to entertain Her Majesty The Queen, ones which have been attended by tens of thousands of people and produced some of the highest rated entertainment on British television. We all have can-do attitudes; where there is a will, there is a way – and our will is extremely strong. We all love the arts, theatre, immersive experiences and theme parks, and our pedigree affords us access to some of the best designers, technicians, and attraction creatives in the business. Above all of this, and most importantly, we are Fun House fans.
