High Country
The mountains of Colorado are home to hundreds of shepherds, who come from Latin America on contracts and lead solitary lives in tents or trailers as they tend to sheep. Steve and Mary Kreis, who serve on mission with InFaith, recognized an opportunity to ease the shepherds' loneliness and introduce them to the love of Jesus. Steve began to visit shepherds regularly, offering them friendship and opportunities to study the Bible and learn more of God's love for them. Steve and Mary also bring the shepherds tangible gifts, such as books, Bibles, and phone cards to call their families in Latin America.
In August 2013, a film crew from InFaith Pictures traveled with Steve to visit some of the shepherds. The resulting documentary, High Country, gives a glimpse of these shepherds' lives and tells the story of how Jesus is at work in their lives. In conjunction with the November 2013 release of the film, InFaith Pictures is giving viewers the opportunity to become directly involved in the ministry of Steve and Mary Kreis through this indiegogo campaign.
Steve's truck is vital to his ministry; he travels many miles over treacherous roads to meet the shepherds in the remote locations where they work. Over the years, his truck has taken a beating. To continue in service, it needs new tires and a suspension upgrade. We want to raise funds to repair Steve's truck so that it can travel the high country for many years to come. Steve is one of the few people who take the time and effort to visit these men where they camp; if he were unable to get to them, he would be missed.
InFaith Pictures, InFaith's nonprofit film production company, uses documentary films to tell the story of Jesus. It is the first fruit of InFaith's new campaign to draw Christ-followers with creative skills into vocational Christian service through a ministry residency that helps people with dreams turn their seed ideas into fruitful ministry. InFaith has been finding new ways to introduce people in the United States to Jesus since 1790; InFaith Pictures is the most recent outgrowth of InFaith's mission to tell the story of Jesus in a way that contemporary listeners can understand.
What We Need
Steve and Mary Kreis have received a quote for $800 for a suspension upgrade and $815 for new tires. We would like to raise enough money to pay for these repairs and related expenses, which include fundraising costs and funds for administrative services that InFaith provides for everyone who serves with them.
The Kreises raise funds for living and ministry expenses through InFaith, which is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation to this campaign is tax deductible. Any funds raised above the goal will go toward Steve and Mary's general ministry expenses, which includes fuel and ongoing vehicle maintenance.

Other Ways You Can Help
High Country is the first documentary film produced by InFaith Pictures. As a new production company, we need your help in getting the word out. Please share our videos with your friends and family through social media, and please keep us in prayer as we film more stories about Jesus in today's world.
Even after this campaign ends, Steve and Mary Kreis will need continuing prayer and financial support. You can donate to their ministry at any time through InFaith's website.
