Buck is a contemporary dance-theater re-imaging of Ibsen's Peer Gynt, told with movement, text, design, and theater. A collaboration between dance artist Kyle Mullins, theater artist Joel Moses, and scenic artist Tim Rothwell, Buck explores Peer Gynt's journey for redemption through dream-ling narrative of abstracted visual landscapes and complex relationships. Presented by Making Moves (a Charlotte Street Foundation monthly series) at Kansas City's Capsule performance space, Buck highlights the talents of local dancers, actors, and visual artists. In an effort to present accessible art, tickets to the event will be free and open to the public with options to donate to Cerca Trova's continuing efforts to create high-quality performances in Kansas City.
This performance marks the first outing for Cerca Trova, a Kansas City based contemporary movement ensemble committed to creating and presenting high quality dance art in Kansas City. For more information on Cerca Trova and Buck's collaborative artistic team, please visit: www.cercatrovadance.com
