If you are reading this it is likely that you are already a Buffalo Summer fan, or maybe a music fan that is investigating new music.
For those unfamiliar with us I'll give you a brief synopsis of the band.
We formed in 2010 and have released two albums. We have toured all over Europe and played festivals such as Download, Wacken and Hyde Park. We have recently recorded our third album but we need to generate some extra funds to finish the mixing and mastering process. Our first album was never released on vinyl and it's a question we've been asked since the album came out. We thought this would be a great opportunity to interact with our fans and any new friend's we may pick up along the way. We can give you guy's something that you would like and at the same time you will be helping to secure a future album release from us. Really playing an important part in the history of the band. It's often said that a band is nothing without it's fans, and something like this proves how vital you really are to the survival of this band.
To complete our third album, 100% of any funds raised will be re-invested. Here's a clear breakdown so you can see exactly what the money will be spent on in producing the vinyl and cd-reissue: -
Vinyl Pressing - £1596 inc VAT
Vinyl Test Press - £54 inc VAT
CD Pressing - £648 inc VAT
Postage and packaging - £500
Limited edition t-shirt's - £200
That comes to £2998 so if it's ok with you we'll round it up to £3,000 :)
If you help us generate £3,000, then it is a very realistic sum of money for us to mix and master the album to a professional and high level. Not only that, if we are left with any stock at the end of it you will also provide us with a lifeline when we are on the road. All sales of albums and t-shirt's we make on the tour are completely re-invested in keeping the band in motion and making more music.
Rather than just offering you the album in two formats we would also like to offer some other perks on the way. As I have already mentioned, we will be doing a limited edition t-shirt with the classic Buffalo Summer logo in the album colours. I will also be offering hand written lyric's to the song or song's of your choice. We have also found the drum skin's Gareth used to make the album. We'll sign those and auction them off. We'll also offer some personal one off item's from our belonging's that are associated with the first album release.
For anyone who has bought an album or attended a show thus far, we can't thank you enough. We believe we've made our best album to date with song's that have surpassed anything we've written before.
