The Story...
This summer, I travelled with a group of students to the rural village of Anloga, Ghana and helped teach at the Hafiakor Basic School. As a part of my service there, my team and I helped make sand bricks to construct a library for the school. There was a large stack of bricks that had been piling up for years, but no action had been taken to start constructing the building due to lack of funds. Your donation will go directly to the construction of this library, and help further the educational opportunities of these students for years to come.

Our Goal
To build this library, the PTA of the school has broken down the specific costs of construction, adding up to be about $2000. The fundraising of this money was broken up between me and another student, and my goal is to raise $1000 for the library. Every penny of the money raised goes directly to the school.
This sum of money will cover all aspects of the construction, including a roof and a paint job.
Why So Soon?
My goal is to have this money into the hands of the PTA by mid-October. If these funds aren't in soon, the stamina behind the construction will get slower and slower, and the project may stop altogether due to lack of funds. Every penny counts towards making this library a reality for these students!
