Short Summary
We are an interdisciplinary team (engineers, designers, teachers) who seek through this project to improve learning skills in early childhood, so we will talk about BunnyCode below.
New technologies allow the development of new forms of learning, strengthening among other things: critical thinking, problem solving creativity, communications and cooperative work. Nowadays it is possible to acquire different types of robots and electronic tools that allow young children to get closer to the programming. Talking about the elements mentioned above, there are few products that offer tangible programming, because most of them base their functionality on tablets, and then, these are less convenient for the time of exposure to the screen.

BunnyCode is a self-learning kit for tangible programming for early childhood that will change the way children learn about the world. It has a wide set of instructions in blocks that make different programs when children join them to move the bunny to a specific place or use their sensors to recognize an obstacle, some noise or light, all this depending on the objective of the activity The objective of the product is to involve children with programming so that they acquire skills such as: laterality, eye-hand coordination, visual perception, abstract thinking and self-learning. Your help will allow us to continue with the development of this project, and will give us the opportunity to continue our journey.

What We Need & What You Get
It is a product of easy access, which is for self-learning, at an accessible price, greater functionality, it is tangible, the use of screens is avoided, it has a greater diversity of basic blocks for tangible programming and it involves parents and family in the process of learning
Well, our project development needs this amount of money:
Funding needed: $100.000 USD
However, if this campaign doesn't reach the needed funding, your contributions won´t be accepted and we will start again this campaign. Now, we'll explain in a general way in what the gathered funding will be invested:
- Components
- Raw materials and supplies
- Desing
- Fixed costs
- Advertising
- Taxes
- Other expenses
Now, related to what you can get, we've created a complete set of unique perks, that you can obtain depending on the range of funding where you clasify.
You can find more detailed information in - 3. Perks section.
The Impact
Programming is a useful skill in current times. Indeed, a high number of future jobs will be taken by people with programming abilities, regardless their major choice. That's why it is important to encourage children to think in a logical way, in order to achieve a goal/solve a problem, by programming.
Nevertheless, children aged between 3 and 6 found the learning process slightly different from older kids. We are aware of this fact; therefore the concept of tangible programming gets into scene. First of all, our product doesn’t rely in tablets, PC’s or any device with a screen, given that doctors recommend not to use them more than two hours per day for children between 4 and 8 years old. We want kids to have the opportunity of touching and arranging blocks, in order to create a sequence; that action would give the bunny a path or command to carry out. This way makes easier the self-learning process we want kids aqcuire.
At this moment, we have developed a prototype, assessed its functionality and also, we were able to detect risks, challenges and potencial improvements for the future product. You can follow our progress in the Bunny's social networks and website, and then, contribute to this project!
Risks & Challenges
We know that risks and obstacles will be presented in the development of this project , for that reason it is important for us to let you know those facts through social media.
We are a interinterdisciplinary team (engineers, designers, teachers) with the skills and abilities to find solutions for any obstacle or risk in all the Project stages, this team has been selected in such a way that any trouble in any area will be resolved in the best way.
Also, there's the possibility that we can't achieve our contributing goal, in that way your contributions won't be accepted and we will start again this campaign.
