Hi Everyone,
I am Sanda, I'm burmese and one of the co-founders of BurmeseHearts.com . We aim to help learners and instructors connect around
a range of subjects, from alphabet for kids to adult courses.
Myanmar may have many problems to solve and I
believe that having a platform for skill-based and lifelong learning, where any
content expert can be an instructor, including individuals, companies,
publishers ,universities is solving a real problem.
The problem of highly unskilled workforce is not a
surprise considering Myanmar was a closed country for decades. Currently there
is not enough skilled employees in many fields in Myanmar as more and more
international companies choose to set up operations there.
From BurmeseHearts.com , people can learn to build better relationship in
family and society and to become part of a modern and increasingly more
technical workforce. In our educational platform, we allow instructors to
market, share and monetize their content and engage with new learners. With
3500 learners (as of 26 Dec) logging and 700K page views during
six-month, we today have 460 lessons for Myanmar people who want to learn
a new skill.
We do help Myanmar people with our learning
platform and our own budget. But our reach is limited to reach more Myanmar
people with our little budget. We want to increase our support for those
without education/skill in their neighborhoods and also make it easier for
learners and instructors to message each other, to chat and share course
materials and content.
There is no such e-learning platform for Burmese
speaking where they can learn outside
the university / school system with emphasize on individual
self-paced lessons, book offline
classes/workshops third parties , find online educational growing community (chat/social
edtech network) and a basic eCommerce shop (upcoming) to buy education
related products.
Your contributions will help us:
(1) to fund a strategic advertising &
sales campaign to spread the word about our education platform , reach 30-50K
registered users, scale, refine marketing/ customer acquisition, on boarding
instructors for Online-to-Offline (O2O)
(2) to offset the legal and filing fees necessary
to establish our presence in Myanmar as an official Company. To achieve 500-700
courses created, setting up operations (hiring)
Your contribution – no matter how big or small –
will help us grow, and will help us help more learners achieve their academic
goals.
Thanks for your support! Stay in
touch, and spread the word!
