The "Buy a Book Feed a Family" Campaign has reached its goal thanks to the generosity of its supporters. With this support, we'll be able to publish THE ORB of TERRA, the third book in THE JUPITER CHRONICLES series and do a nice thing for our community. Stay in touch for updates on the release of the book.
But this is just beginning.
What happens now?
We keep going!
While Mike is hard at work pitching the project to the networks as a series, we'll continue to raise funds so that we can retroactively repackage books one and two. Then, we'll move forward with book four (which I've already started outlining).
How will that be used?
Covers cost about $750 each so we'll need one for each in the series.

What's the story about?
THE JUPITER CHRONICLES is a Science Fiction series that opens with a young boy named Ian Castillo. Ian has lived through five years of agonizing internal questions and angst over why his father left five years before. The road to discovery begins when his sister, Callie, finds an old telescope their father had left for Ian but had gone untouched.
Callie’s curiosity gets the best of her and she inadvertently activates the telescope. Sensing the presence of both Ian and Callie, the telescope transforms into a vessel that rockets them to the steam-powered world of Jupiter where "skyrockets" soar the skies and "doomslayers" have enslaved their people.
And this is where the adventure begins. Ian and his sister, Callie discover the worlds that lie within the Jovian Realm and uncover surprising secrets that take them from the deep, dark oceans of the Sinu to the frozen world of Ganymede. And with new allies, they will encounter challenges that will give birth to the forgotten guardians of the realm known as the “Chrono Legion”.
Much like the Flash Gordon serials of the 1930's, our concept will fuse the genres of Steampunk and Space Opera together and drive them into the light for a new generation.
In book one, Ian and Callie discover the secret of their missing father and a world imprisoned by conquering Martians. In book two, the siblings travel to the world of Ganymede where they are thrown into the deadly game known as Drifterdash with an opponent who has more in common with them than they know. When they learn the secret behind the real identity of Anomious Tan, they must reconcile the truth and protect him from the pirate known as Captain Kaos.
And in book three, an ancient beast known as Gigantes rises from the depths of the ocean and causes destruction in its wake, only to call out an even deadlier enemy headed for Earth. Only the Chrono Legion can stop them if they'd only stop bickering among themselves.
Up to this point, the books have focused solely on the main three characters (Ian, Callie and Nomi). But this is not just their story. These are the "Jupiter Chronicles", after all. So I intend to tell stories involving other characters and worlds within the Jovian Realm (much like the Green Lantern Corps).

- Lovers of a great space epic! Once described as "Steampunk Star Wars", THE JUPITER CHRONICLES takes readers of the books to other worlds in steam-powered ships fighting Doomslayers and taking to the skies in Fireflights!
- Growing up in a single-parent family, I had to endure living in extreme poverty and at one point we were even homeless. The book series is a hope to kids in those circumstances to strive to do their very best and above all, dream and work towards a better future for themselves. We hope to be the same as an animated series.

Ways You Can Help!
Some of you may be going through a tough spell right now. Please know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I totally sympathize. My family and I have been there and we're there with you right now. Even so, I'm asking you to partner with us in helping make the lives of others better. I hope that you'll join us.
Having said that, this doesn't mean you can't help in some way.
Here's how:
- Get the word out and make some noise about your campaign. And when I say noise I mean actually say something. If you've read my other stuff, say so. You have no idea how much that can help and what it means to an author when you simply share.
- Post the images on the campaign to your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts.
- Use the Indiegogo share tools!

The author has done an excellent job and the 'Jupiter Facts' at the end of the book are very informative for children. A thrilling science fiction story filled with excitement and mystery.

A Fantastic YA Series!
Ian and Callie Castillo are fun characters. Ian is twelve and Callie is nine. Ian is an extremely serious young man. He is quite brave and determined. I absolutely LOVE Callie! She is more relaxed and has a funny sense of humour. However, she is just as brave as her brother.
This is a fun novel for children. The story is an amazing adventure that see's Ian and Callie travelling back to Jupiter, when Ian mysteriously becomes ill. The author's imagination in mixing reality and fantasy has created an exciting adventure that had me turning the pages! I love Callie's little journal entries, which still had me giggling. I could imagine both her face as she wrote them (full of mischief), and Ian's as he reacted (sometimes angry or disgusted depending on what she was writing). There is an exciting race scene, which reminded me of the Pod Race in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. However, the vehicles were powered by steam.
There are some new characters introduced, but it was nice to meet Francisus Flatulus Ferdinand again. His bodily dis-function is still in full swing, which will appeal to children. He made me laugh too!
The end of the story finishes on a slight twist that actually shocked me, and I am now looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Leonardo Ramirez has written a fantastic novel that was fast paced and exciting enough to keep even the most fidgety youngster enthralled. This is an author I will be keeping an eye on in the future.
