Who We Are
At Canthius, we believe that we empower others and ourselves when we encourage women to engage in public literary space through publication. Canthius is a magazine for readers and writers invested in seeing feminist values reflected in the Canadian literary arts.
Our bi-annual print magazine publishes poetry, prose, and art by women and genderqueer writers. The first two issues of Canthius featured both acclaimed and emerging Canadian writers together in an artfully designed print product.
Why We Need Your Help
Though the first two issues of Canthius have received enthusiastic support, most Canadian granting agencies require three published issues before making funding opportunities available. Can you help us make it to issue three?
About Issue 03
In the third issue of Canthius, you can look forward to new writing from:
- Hoa Nguyen

The issue will also feature artwork from Montreal based artist, Tafui.
What We Need & What You'll Get
We're asking for small contributions to help us reach our $2,500 goal. All funds raised will go directly toward the costs of producing, printing, and shipping the issue.
To say thanks, we're offering the following perks:
- Annual subscriptions to Canthius & copies of the issue
- Signed copies of books from previous and forthcoming Canthius contributors
- Tarot card readings by Canthius contributor Hoa Nguyen
