CCROV is a professional underwater drone features a 4K camera, 6 thrusters and a great operability and stability.

The underwater world has drawn more and more attention over the past few years. After realizing that there was no option for a high-quality professional camera or ROV at a reasonable price for the general consumer, we decided to develop a professional grade underwater drone at the lowest price-the CCROV.

A remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) is a tethered underwater mobile device. They are common in deep water industries. We created a ROV which is mainly used for underwater photography. The CCROV (CC=See the Sea) with its 4K camera, 6 thrusters and 5 degrees of freedom, will provide you a professional experience at an affordable price


4K Camera

As for now, most underwater drones or robots use HD (720P) or 1080P camera, but we aim for the highest quality of video footage, this is why we decided to equip the CCROV with a 4K camera.This built-in camera will help you get the clearest underwater videos and photos. 

Camera specs

6 Thrusters

A ROV usually have 3 to 4 thrusters. To enjoy a high stability we incorporated 4 horizontal and 2 vertical thrusters on the CCROV.


5 Degrees of Freedom

The 6 thrusters provide the CCROV 5 degrees of freedom: forward & back, up & down, right & left, yaw and the roll axis will automatically adjust in response to the IMU statues.

Its flexible mobility and precise control make the CCROV maneuverable within 1m³. With an average of 3 thrusters, most ROV will need three times that area to complete a circle.


Ultra-resistant to Pressure and Anti-corrosion

The CCROV’s electronic components are placed in an aluminum alloy sealed compartment that can resist high water pressure. This compartment is embedded in military grade syntactic foam that not only provides stability but also avoids erosion from sea water.This system assures the impermeability of the CCROV up to 100 meters deep.

Professional Tether Deployment System (TDS)

The CCROV has a professional tether deployment system that allows an easy packing and transportation. The  battery is located in the Tether Deployment System, it is removable and can be replaced while it's charging (90 minutes for a full charge) for an uninterrupted use of your CCROV. The tether’s length ranges from 20 meters to 100 meters, and no matter the length, this system makes it easy to manage.

Though it is a professional ROV, it is still very portable. It can be easily carried in a backpack or a suitcase, even placed under your seat.

Easy to Use 

The CCROV is easy to set up and user friendly, in three steps you are good to go:

-  Download and install the app (iOS and Android) on your phone/tablet

-  Connect your phone (and the controller if you want to use it) to the Tether Deployment System via Wi-Fi

-  Open the app and in one click, connect it to the CCROV.

Live Video Feedback

The CCROV will send live video feedback through the tether up to the surface. The signal will then be streamed by Wi-Fi from the Tether Deployment System to your phone/tablet/controller.

Our company has experience in providing video transmission modules designed for drones, so high speed and HD video transmission is kind of our advantage. 

VR/FPV Interface

We take a step further with Virtual Reality! Your CCROV will take you through a real life experience under water. Swim in the ocean with a school of fish in glorious 3-D, flow with the stream and discover the underwater world.

Personalized Color Customization

Here is how you can help us, every supporters matters! 

Our research and development started back to 2012, when a group of enthusiastic ROV fans formed a club and began to develop robots in the university. Our team got bigger and won prizes in international robot competitions. The idea of an underwater robot came last summer when we accidently crashed a drone into the sea. In order to save the video on the SD card we had to ask divers to help us. After 1 year practicing, the first working prototype of the CCROV is now ready and we hope to improve it with your help!

Our goal was to develop a high performance robot for underwater photography, convenient and easy to use. We chose the best components and materials to get you the best experience. 


After working during one year on the project, we now have a batch of working prototypes. They are now all functional and we are working on them to make them even better.

· What is CCROV?

ROV means remotely operated vehicle. The CCROV is an underwater robot with a 4K camera, allowing user to shoot underwater photos and videos.

·  What can the CCROV do?

CCROV is mainly used to shoot underwater images and videos. It can dive up to 100 meters (328 feet) deep, and will stream live HD video on your phone or tablet. The CCROV can be used for further exploration such as dive site inspection, wildlife surveillance, wreck detection, general adventure aid and so on.

·  Why the CCROV? What makes the CCROV different from its competitors?

The main differences between CCROV and other underwater robot are the material, the camera and the number of thrusters. We used a built-in 4K camera to ensure the high quality of photos and videos. As for the body of the robot, we selected a special macromolecular and anti-corrosion material to make it stick firmly to protect the camera and main controller. The 6 thrusters allow 5 degrees of freedom and a high manoeuverability. 

· How to use the CCROV

Take the CCROV out of the box, connect the cable to the robot, turn on the battery and the controller, connect it to the APP, then put the robot into water, and use the joystick to operate it.

·  What can I do with the app?

The app can be downloaded from the App Store and the Google Play Store. It gives you live video feedback on your phone/tablet, allows you to take pictures and videos and display information such as battery level.

· How do I know when the CCROV is running out of power?

When the battery life reaches 20%, the APP will display a Low Battery warning. You can guide the CCROV back to you or pull the cable if the battery dies. The cable can resist a 100kg pull force so you do not need to worry about breaking anything.

·  How do I charge the CCROV?

Take the battery out of the Tether Deployment System (TDS) to charge it. One full charge takes around 90 minutes.

· Can the diver use the CCROV underwater?

At this stage the CCROV has to be controlled from the shore, but we are currently working on the development of an accessory allowing an underwater control.

Warranty

What is the warranty? 

We provide a 12 months warranty for manufacturing defects. Free repairs and component replacements will be provided under the warranty period for manufacturing defects. The warranty doesn’t cover misuse of the product, human factors, surface damages, bumps or scratches.
