Tether Deployment System (TDS)
The CCROV has a professional tether
deployment system that allows an easy packing and transportation. The battery is located in the Tether Deployment System, it is removable and can be replaced while it's charging (90 minutes for a full charge) for an uninterrupted use of your CCROV. The tether’s
length ranges from 20 meters to 100 meters, and no matter the length, this
system makes it easy to manage.

Live Video Feedback
The CCROV will send live video feedback through the tether up to the
surface. The signal will then be streamed by Wi-Fi from the Tether Deployment
System to your phone/tablet/controller.

Our research and
development started back to 2012, when a
group of enthusiastic ROV fans formed a club and began to develop robots in the
university. Our team got bigger and won
prizes in international robot competitions. The idea of an underwater robot
came last summer when we accidently crashed a drone into the sea. In order to
save the video on the SD card we had to ask divers to help us. After 1 year
practicing, the first working prototype of the CCROV is now ready and we hope
to improve it with your help!

prototypes. They are now all functional and we are working on them to make them

Product
ROV means remotely operated vehicle. The CCROV is an underwater robot with
a 4K camera, allowing user to shoot underwater photos and videos.
CCROV is mainly used to shoot underwater images and videos. It can dive up
to 100 meters (328 feet) deep, and will stream live HD video on your phone or
tablet. The CCROV can be used for further exploration such as dive site
inspection, wildlife surveillance, wreck detection, general adventure aid and
so on.
The main differences between CCROV and other underwater robot are the
material, the camera and the number of thrusters. We used a built-in 4K camera to ensure the high
quality of photos and videos. As for the body of the robot, we selected a
special macromolecular and anti-corrosion material to make it stick firmly to protect the camera and main controller. The 6 thrusters allow 5 degrees of freedom and a high manoeuverability.
Take the CCROV out of the box, connect the
cable to the robot, turn on the battery and the controller, connect it to the
APP, then put the robot into water, and use the joystick to operate it.
The app can be downloaded from the App Store
and the Google Play Store. It gives you live video feedback on your
phone/tablet, allows you to take pictures and videos and display information
such as battery level.
When the battery life reaches 20%, the APP will display a Low Battery warning.
You can guide the CCROV back to you or pull the cable if the battery dies. The
cable can resist a 100kg pull force so you do not need to worry about breaking
anything.
Take the battery out of the Tether Deployment System (TDS) to charge it.
One full charge takes around 90 minutes.
At this stage the CCROV has to be controlled from the shore, but we are currently
working on the development of an accessory allowing an underwater control.
Warranty
What is the warranty?
We provide a 12 months warranty for manufacturing defects. Free
repairs and component replacements will be provided under the warranty period
for manufacturing defects. The warranty doesn’t cover misuse of the product,
human factors, surface damages, bumps or scratches.
