Here's Dave Sim on the origins of this unique project—

"An annual CEREBUS Birthday Card is an idea I had been toying with for years and stopped thinking about after my wrist went wonky in 2015. Then Dean R. sent me a copy of a CEREBUS drawing he had commissioned from Neal Adams and I thought, 'Wait a minute, it doesn't HAVE to be a Dave Sim drawing.' Neal was kind enough to grant us blanket permission for use of the image, for which I really can never thank him enough! He's been a personal hero of mine since he blew my 12-year-old mind with his work on DEADMAN in 1968. Now I just have to figure out who I'm going to ask to draw the 2020 card!" 

All of the pledge levels will include this basic item—a Cerebus birthday card, penciled and inked by Mr.  Adams as a commission for Cerebus (and Neal!) fan Dean Reeves, and toned and lettered by Dave Sim. In addition, Dave Sim will sign each printed card and personalize them to you, to be delivered by your birthday (or any other 2019 date of your choosing).

For the multi-birthdayed among us, you may also purchase cards in value-packs of five or ten cards each.

Secondly, we're offering an opportunity to catch up with the CEREBUS ARCHIVE PORTFOLIOS for those of you who might have missed the previous campaigns. These offerings represent the entirety of the remaining inventory of Cerebus Archive portfolios, printed and signed for the original campaigns, and still bearing their numbered designations.

"In order to preserve what's left of my right wrist for work on THE STRANGE DEATH OF ALEX RAYMOND, I've had to make the hard decision with the Artists' Editions Portfolios to only sign the front label on the Portfolio from now on, instead of all of the interior plates.
